More Battleborn Info Revealed, Including PC System Requirements

In a post on the official 2K Blog [https://blog.2k.com/news/], there's a great roundup of info on Battleborn, covering game modes, characters, and more. Most importantly, we now know exactly what the PC system requirements will be. Here's what you'll need to run it:

Minimum System Requirements:

OS: Windows 7 x64-Bit or Later
CPU: Intel i5-750 / AMD Phenom IIx4 945
RAM: 6 GB
Hard Drive: 30 GB free
Video Memory: 1 GB
Minimum Required Video Card: AMD HD 6870/ NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 or better, PhysX support

If you want to crank things up a notch, you'll need a bit more power in your rig, but even these requirements aren't overly onerous.

Recommended System Requirements:

OS: Windows 7 x64-Bit or Later
CPU: Intel i5-750 / AMD Phenom IIx4 945
RAM: 6 GB
Hard Drive: 50 GB free
Video Memory: 2 GB
Recommended Video Card: AMD HD 7850/ NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or better, PhysX support

I can probably run this- assuming, as has usually been the case, that the game which claims it needs Windows 7 will actually run just fine under Windows Vista.

Last time I check with Game-Debate website, I can run it (especially thanks to my new graphic card) but that site is not updated with the announce rigs.

In saying so however, I am now NOT getting it now, 50-70gb??? (I have bandwidth limit per say.) In saying so is the disc version on Amazon got the installment in the disc or something (there is a Steam version that cost ?10 more)?

From what I've seen, this game is under even Borderlands in the graphics department. But I know pretty much nothing of PC gaming and their components, so I guess this is good? I don't get why the CPU can be the same for both the minimum and recommended system requirements though.

This has usually been the case, but in some cases - most notably Witcher 3 and Star Wars: Battlefront, Vista has kept you from even installing the game

It shouldn't. My last major computer build, regrettably, came just before Windows 7 came to market. I try to make my computers as future-proof as possible, and by and large, it's succeeded in doing do- in part because the vast majority of games that say they require Windows 7 64-bit will actually run under Windows Vista 64-bit as well.

And I will say, for what it's worth, that the vast majority of the horror stories that surrounded Windows Vista have not reflected my experience.

All that said, I'm not some sort of Vista "loyalist"; it's just that the cost of upgrading to 7, combined with the cost and hassle of re-installing software, finding new drivers, and possibly finding that some of the software I use for work might no longer function at all have hindered me from moving to a new OS. That, of course, combined with the above note that it simply hasn't been necessary to make the move for software compatibility reasons.

My next computer- which I'm hoping to build this year- will run Windows 7, an OEM copy of which rests in my hot little hands. But the new build has more to do with my processor (i7 2.93 GHz) no longer keeping up with the latest software than my OS failing to run it.

My processor has kept the delights of Witcher 3 out of my hands; when the above-mentioned new computer is a reality, it's one of the first on my list.
