More Overwatch Funkos Revealed, Coming to Stores in April

//cdn.themis-media.com/media/global/images/library/deriv/1384/1384383.jpgMore Overwatch Funkos are hitting stores this April.

If you're one of those people that can't get enough Overwatch collectibles, your wallet may be about to take another hit. Funko has announced that Wave 2 of its Overwatch Pop! figures are coming to stores in April.

The new release will include standard size Pop!s of McCree, Symmetra and Reinhardt, as well as a six-inch tall Reinhardt. Also included in this release is D.Va, who is only 1.75 inches tall, but she fits inside the included six-inch tall MEKA.

There will also be some retailer-exclusive alternate looks available. These are:

Reinhardt without his helmet (Best Buy)
McCree in his American McCree Summer Games skin (GameStop)
Mei surrounded by her Blizzard (Hot Topic)
Posh Tracer (ThinkGeek)
Carbon Fiber D.Va and Titanium Pharah (Blizzard Gear)

There's no exact date when these will hit stores just yet, but the post on the Funko blog [https://funko.com/blogs/news/coming-soon-overwatch-wave-2] does say they'll be available in April. Of course, it also mentions moving the payload, and we all know how often that happens.

*sigh* I'm so negative today, I apologize.

But I'm not the only one who thinks Funko Pops are hideous, am I?

Literally everyone I personally know either has many of these things or are obssessed with them.

I have ONE, and that is Alduin from Skyrim, because it actually looks pretty neat. But the rest are so boring to look at. Even the "good" ones.

The only one of these that looks remotely interesting is the D.VA, and even then D.VA herself looks so...eww. (eloquent, I know.)

I don't see the appeal in these homogenized bug people figures, except "Oh look! This is based off a thing I like!"

The Tracer Nendoroid figure looks 1000x's more appealing if you must get your chibi, chubby body/big head needs fulfilled.

Nope. I personally don't care too much for them either.

However, I admit that these give me hope. The fact that Blizzard is willing to let Funko Pop! figures be made means that maybe down the line, they'll allow Kotobukiya-level statues to be made. Because while I don't have any interest in the actual game, I do like how a lot of Overwatch characters look and would love to own some of them.

I don't like everything Funko does but I do really like these.
And they're cheap.
I'll definitely be getting a few of these.

I generally agree. But I do like the Reinhardt. I guess I like the helmeted figures but ones with faces are just... *shudders.

There's definately a Tracer nendoroid, and concept art presented of Mei and Mercy ones too.

On the one hand, Yay, cute mercy fig... on the other, not sure I can really afford (let alone justify) a nendoroid figure.

It wasn't the rise of the machines we should have worried about, it was the little plastic figurines with giant heads.

...Seriously, there's going to be more of these things than people at this rate.

I don't know why people like these things. Why not just get an actual figure that more resembles the character?

Good old ugly ass Chibi figurines.

Shame another company couldn't come out with a better, less creepy, product.

Don't know either why Blizz doesn't just release accurate figurines of the characters.

Maybe to stop enterprising people from taking the female ones and rebuilding them as nudes? I know there are groups out there how do that with anime figurines and such, and that there's a market for buying those.

Maybe a stupid thought. Then again, we all know how much Blizz loves Overwatch porn.

I just want Roadhog. Wonder if he's gonna be one of those big ones.

They have Nendroids of Tracer with Mercy and Mei coming out. But they're $80, smaller and break with just the tiniest look.

I don't mind POP figures. Then again most of the ones I have (like 10 out of the 17) are not human/masked so it fits.
