More Red Dead Redemption DLC Coming Soon

Rockstar has announced four new DLC packs for Red Dead Redemption [http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=%22Red+Dead+Redemption%22&x=0&y=0], bringing new multiplayer action, mini-games, anti-griefing measures and even zombies to the hit western saga.

"Our goal is to continue to pack as much entertaining gameplay and as many surprises as we can into the massive world of Red Dead Redemption over the coming months," said multi-million-murdering [http://www.rockstargames.com] cowboy sim will be getting some serious DLC love with not one, not two, not even three, but four individual releases.

The first DLC release, the Legends and Killers Pack, will include nine new multiplayer map locations and eight new characters, as well as a new weapon called the Tomahawk. Following that will be the Liars and Cheats Pack, which will add still more multiplayer modes including Attack and Defend, horse races with mounted combat, eight more characters, multiplayer versions of Liars Dice and Poker from the single-player game and another new weapons, the "Explosive Rifle."

Next up is the Free Roam Pack, featuring new Free Roam challenges, "action areas and defensive placements," posse scoring and leaderboards and the addition of new anti-griefing measures, and then last but certainly not least will come the Undead Nightmare Pack, which will add a brand-new single-player adventure with new quest, animals, dynamic events and more, along with eight new multiplayer zombie characters. All four Red Dead Redemption DLC packs will also bring new Achievements and Trophies to the party.

The Legends and Killers Pack is slated to come out in August, while release dates for the rest have yet to be confirmed. Legends and Killers, Liars and Cheats and Undead Nightmare will be available for $9.99 each on the PlayStation Network or 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live, while pricing on the Free Roam Pack, for some reason, hasn't been set. More information about each will be released as they get closer to launch.

Awesome! The game does need some smaller multi-player maps they're all to small for me, especially since their aren't to many people in a single game and wandering across the entire map to find ONE person gets annoying. Also some more co-op sounds good can't wait for that, I think the current ones are good and can't wait to see what they have lined up!

And AHH ZOMBIES! AWESOME! So yeah sounds good can't wait...well I need to get some for this!

Maybe they've not added much to the free roam pack because it will be free? I mean, anti griefing! I can't wait.

B-b-ut Rockstar.. Anti-griefing methods? How else am I supposed to get revenge on the noobz0rz who shoot me as soon as i enter the game? If I can't repeatedly kill someone until they leave the game, how am i supposed to make them stop?

Well alright, I've been looking for a good reason to get back into the game, and I'd say those are all good reasons. Mostly zombies though.

Is anyone EVER going to decide "Yeah, okay, zombies have been done to death. Let's move on."

...ever?

Well zombies have been done to undeath. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I cannot resist a pun.

OT: Sounds okay, I'm never too happy about paying for DLC, but RDR is a great game and anything that will extend it's longevity is welcome and I can't wait to play some new missions and gamble online. I hope the new character models don't take forever to unlock. Plus, zombies are a little overexposed but hey, they are fun to shoot and it'll be fun to ride into a ghost town to take them on in your down time, I hope they make their way into the online too.

Woah, this game is still awesome even now! I have to admit that even though I don't buy DLC that often, those sound too tempting and awesome! I wonder now if that glitch with the "zombie" and Seth was really so much of a glitch and not an accidental placeholder, hehe.
