Most Badass Video Game character

For me its Kratos hands down. I had considered Auron, Snake, Raiden (yes he's badass now), Batman, and even Auron (from FFX) but Kratos takes the cake.

I mean who can honestly say this applies to them...

Kratos may kill gods, but the Cole Train does that with no effort.

I simply don't understand how people can think Kratos is badass. I mean, he certainly has the bad part down, and he is definitely an ass, but he's just not a badass.

Being badass requires more than just dumb muscle, it requires virtues, like bravery. If you're a dead-inside, death-seeking, or reckless beyond rational logic, you're not brave, you're just a mindless killing machine.

I used to think Sam Fisher was badass, but they ruined him with Conviction.
I used to think Samas was badass, but they ruined her with Other M.

I guess Jim Raynor can still count as badass, even if the writing in Starcraft II was terribad and all his lines were cliche, he wasn't downgraded from badass.

Probably Link too, even if Twilight Princess made him a furry.
