Mouse vs. Cat: Nature's Fighting Game Needs Balance

Videogame designers work hard to ensure their games are fair and balanced but Mother Nature, as the wickedly funny Creature Combat IV [http://essenmitsosse.de/creature-combat/] clearly demonstrates, isn't nearly as considerate.

No, this isn't news. But it's got a cat, home-made sound effects, violence and videogame jokes, and it's the funniest thing I've seen in weeks. That's good enough for me.
Created by Susanne Wohlfahrt and Marcus Blättermann as part of a four-day animation workshop, this video is something to keep in mind the next time you're tempted to complain that you're being treated unfairly by a game that obviously hasn't been balanced properly. In the cold, harsh world of nature, there are no playtesters.

I saw this on Kotaku this morning its hilarious. I love shryuken,hadouken and spinning bird kick.

I love all the sound effects you can hear the french accent so well.

Hmmm, i thought with the accent and the names they where german.

Well, the mouse was doing fairly well there. I mean, it's possible that the cat was actually charging up that move for the entire round and if he whiffed it then the mouse could have gone on to victory.
