Howl's moving castle and ponyo
I love Howl's Moving Castle, but I haven't seen Ponyo yet. Love your avatar, by the way. Nero's awesome.

Anyway, for me...hm...
The Plague Dogs, The Breed (yes, that one "sucky" horror movie with the dog island), Animal Farm, Ginger Snaps, Legend, and The Last Unicorn. All favorites of mine, but they don't seem to be very common. Oh, and also The Legend of Lobo.
I have a lot, I know. ^_^;

A lot of these mentions are pretty popular really.

Umm... How about El Topo? A weird, surreal cult spaghetti western featuring forced sex with a midget.

EDIT: Oh oh, also, how many here are into Shane Meadows' (a director) work? He is popular with indie film goers, less so outside the UK... but not nearly as popular as he should be, so i thought he needs a mention. This is England is easily my favourite British film. Dead Man's Shoes is worth checking out too.

Also, i bet that very few people outside of NZ (and perhaps Aussie) will have seen Once Were Warriors, which is really really good.

*Sigh*
Beautiful movie.

OT: Logans Run would be my entry. I know very few who have seen it.
Seen it. TERRIBLE. At least we got some chuckles at its expense.
Fine then! I guess you wont be renewing; you're probably a runner, aren't you?

On topic: Mary and Max, Primer, Leon the Professional, and Dark City. Especially Leon. I've heard people mention Dark City and Primer, but never Leon.
I've had that movie for so long. One of my favorites in my collection.

Terrible movie. John Cleese and Sean Connery, you would think it'd be good.

Enemy Mine
I saw this movie with my dad when I was seven and loved it. I never remembered the name. Then last month it was on Syfy. Not as good as I remembered, but still a great film.

It is beautiful. And Colin Farrel is hilarious in this part.

"Mom, I think I broke the cleverbot!"

Me: Then what are you?
I'm a human!
The parental adivce says I am not talking to a human, no matter how convincing it seems.
How programmed you?
That question made no sense.
You have not sense.

Bubba Ho-Tep

It's about Elvis and black JFK teaming up against an ancient Egyptian mummy that lives in their old folk's home and survives by sucking the souls out of the residents' ass holes. And it's actually a pretty good watch.

If I'm lyin' I'm dyin'.

This one is definitely obscure to the people I know, and I'm saddened that no one I know has seen Once Upon a Time in the West or any other Sergio Leone western. Its a better genre than people give it credit for.
Seen all his westerns.

Pan's Labyrinth too. I feel like many of my friends don't really look at foreign films with the same excitement that I do. (Note: I think that more than a few people on this site have seen this one, but I'm considering this more in terms with the people that I personally know.)
Good and beautiful film.

OT: Begotten.
It's like a rorschach test for your mind.

One film that springs to mind for me is Oysters at Nam Kee's. I saw it late one night whilst I was playing the hell out of Arkham Asylum, and it was quite an experience. Basically it's a Dutch film about an average young guy who falls in love with an exotic dancer. Then they go on a crime spree across Europe, get hooked on drugs and eventually go crazy. It was a powerful film and somehow enhanced by playing such a powerful game simultaneously.
