billy talent, Metallica, System of a down, Disturbed, GNR, Serj Tankian. Nonpoint is the best music for gaming ever, lyrics are always fitting and it just makes you play better somehow.

Ingame music, almost anytime. Sometimes I put on JazzFM when playing TF2, but that's rare.

One time though, I played "Living in the Sunshine" from Tiny Tim while playing Gears of War. That's one fantastic combination. Extremely happy ukelulu (or whatever) tunes while sawing monsters in half.

Sadly enought I nolonger listen to music while playing most games. In game sound in many games has become important to doing well or better then the other guy.
But if im playing say an RTS or somthing less audio intense such as wow, I enjoy trance for the long grind.

In game music thats what it's there for. Unless it's a racing game or something like that and has terrible music, then i might put some on

What's wrong with the games music itself? Is it not a bit like watching a movie and then providing your own dialogue with a friend on basis of the subtitles?

ive been playing Diablo 2 and listening to a mix of Electric Wizard, Kyuss, Black Sabbath and Mastodon. Mastodon's great for big epic battles, everything else is great for exploring dungeons and finding new lands.

I listen to Queen while playing horde on gears 2. It's quiet appropriate listening to "who want to live forever?" while sawing a dude in half.

Some games have really awful soundtracks, or the music doesn't fit the setting one bit.

Austrian Death Machine while online.

"I am a cybernetic organism....living tissue over endoskeleton!!"

Most anything else is a random assortment of metal, the SOTN soundtrack, and the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack.

Usually something to keep me calm and relaxed, electronica really helps with that. I dont do well if I try to play aggressivly. If I do need some tunes to pump me up I usually listen to Shiro Sagisu, he handles all the music from Bleach, and he does some epic tunes.
