Well, mostly want to whine and moan a little. Every time I get a new MMO, something on my computer breaks. I replace it, it works fine, and I get bored with the MMO. A bit later I realize my console junkie friends are still console junkies, and get an urge to play games with people again, and buy another MMO, only to have something else on my computer break. Seriously, I got about 8 hours worth of the most recent one, and my bloody motherboard goes out on me!

Seriously, this freakin' sucks. So who wants to pitch in on the "Buy Draygen a New Motherboard Fund"? It'd really be peachy ya know? So anyway, just needed to vent a little, is all.

I just need some money for the bus.

Anywho, funny coincidence MMORPGs keep breaking your computer.

Hah, if the economy weren't kicking me in the dick, I'd help.
But I'm so broke it's not even funny.
no kidding there. Though with the economy in its current state, I don't feel nearly as bad about my English major in school, because no matter WHAT my major is in, I won't be able to get a job!

QFT. Sometimes these things happen for a reason.
Well, if my other friends would get decent PCs, I'd play other games with them. As it is, I know two PC gamers, and they both play MMOs. So if I want to game with my friends, I have to play MMOs.

Keep in mind your power supply. When I ran into problems during the time I played WoW, mainly it was power supply issues. WoW fried my "designed for gaming" proprietary Alienware power supply within two months--it was replaced with another brand which has worked superlatively, can't recall the name unfortunately--and WoW fried the powersupply, memory, AND motherboard on the computer prior to that. Particularly if you've upgraded, watch out for power supply issues. I guess it's the long hours, or something.

Have you tried EVE? You might have better luck with it, it isn't a system whore like a lot of other MMO's out there. The classic client will run on just about anything.

Nah, its none of that. The breakdowns are usually totally independent of the games themselves, but rather simply a string of coincidences that all amount to a very sad Draygen. I got a buddy who's pretty educated as far as computers go and he ran all sorts of tests. I figure I could probably trust him since I pay him in food, and he doesn't get any extra food if he has to do more work. I love bachelor friends who are hard up for a non-microwaved meal!

Your computer's trying to keep you away from the life-sucking void of mmorpuguh's. Instead of trying to cut it open and "fix" it, get down on your knees and grovel.

seeing as how I've only played any single MMO for about 6 months tops, I doubt I'm at risk of going down the "life-sucking void" any time soon. More importantly than the MMOs however, is my Portal! GLaDOS doesn't like my laptop at all!
