This error brings up a pretty big issue. I paid $60 for Heavy Rain. Now, because I can't access the PlayStation Network or have dynamic trophies, I can't play the game. Developers need to realize that when someone buys a game, they should OWN it, completely. They shouldn't have to connect to a remote server, or get approval from some third party to play it. What happens when the next gen comes out and Sony decides to scrap the old PSN?
I can understand having these kinds of remote connection setups for PC games to prevent piracy, but this is a console game, for crying out loud! There's not even a ROM available on the internet! Yes, I checked once this error kept me from playing Heavy Rain, which is legal. You can have backup ROMs for games you paid for.
Anyway, my point is, I hope this error makes future developers decide to not use dynamic trophy setups or anything like this in the future. Furthermore, I hope it makes Sony decide to let people completely own and play downloaded content whenever they want. This error has exposed just how much of your content, which you paid for, they control, monitor, and require checkups to use.
