Glad I NEVER go on my ps3 then. See, this is going to fuel the Xbox live fanboys' arguement why it's better than PS3.
Hmm, pretty glad I waited out and bought the slim. This would be one of those things that would really annoy me.
I hope for their sake that it's a problem they can fix by flashing it. A mass recall of older PS3s could be very expensive for Sony, and as a recent buyer of a PSP, that's suddenly my problem. ;P

Hey, i don't think mine has been turned on since thursday or something like that. Guess i'll keep it turned off.
Quick question: if i unplug the internet cable, and turns it on to watch movies, will it bug? is in in the console itself or is it a PSN problem that i won't catch if i don't connect it to the internet.

Luckily I have a slim model but even then when this started to happen i was playing MW2 onilne and every game i joined was laggy really bad im not sure if that was because of that happening or because SONY was working on it when i found out about this i had several people on my friends list online even with fat ps3's can someone explain that to me. My brothers ps3 (fat 40 gb) and my sisters ps3 (fat 80 gb) trophies were ok the date just resetted to December 31 1999, the downloaded games turned into trials, and they couldn't play any trophy based game. SOOOOOOO this is what i say WAIT don't format or do anything to your ps3 SONY will fix it soon.
