Need help, 8gb portal 2 update?

Im just checking somthing, just last night I finished portal 2 (wow), anyway just today I went into online mode (which I dont often do) to check out the co-op

now its updating..except its an 8gb download, Im just wondering is this correct or is this just a problem with me? did anyone else remember the size of the update? I mean 8gb? that doest sound right

Right click on it in your library, go to "properties", "local files", then "verify integrity of game cache". See if that helps.

oh and another question sorry, does that require any downloading? Im streching my internet cap right now as it is, Ill probably just wait untill next month of data kicks in though

I mean I did it, it went up to like 67% but then I seemed to be eating up my internet so I stopped

I did a steam suport thing so yeah..

anyway thanks for the help, I hope I get to do co-op before It goes dead

What it does is check the files in your Portal 2 folder, and downloads any missing files. Chances are something somewhere got screwed up, and it has to re-download stuff. Whether its updates, or parts of the main game, I don't know.

So yes, it'll require some re-downloading. How much re-downloading? I'm afraid I don't know.
