I'm having some trouble here. There's a short story on the internet somewhere that I'm having a hell of a time trying to find. I may very well have read it on the scary thread here. If anyone can help me find it, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Pretty sure it's in a sort of daily log format as opposed to traditional short story format.
It's about a man who takes temporary residence in a house or a cabin in the middle of the woods (I think on vacation). Access to it may have been granted by a friend. The place looks fine enough, but there's one room on the second floor that's locked. There may be a message somewhere saying to leave it that way. Can't remember.
After a while, he hears singing coming from this room; beautiful singing that leaves him entranced, later leaving him sitting next to the door in admiration.
At the end, the door somehow unlocks and shit hits the fan.
I hope this is ringing a bell, as I remember this story being genuinely decent.
Much gratitude.
