I've recently stumbled upon the genre of nerdcore hiphop and absolutely love it. Which may or may not be obvious by my MC Frontalot avatar.

So my question, my dear Escapees, who is your favorite nerdcore rapper? Are there any you would suggest?

I have not heard of Nerdcore hip-hop. I must check out this genre of music. In my own attempts to freestyle (generally a non-serious competition between me and my buddy) I reference Starcraft pretty frequently but I take it this is different than just using nerdy allusions.
I also rap about dragons a lot.

In that case, I suggest Wordburglar, MC Frontalot, or M.C. Hawking. Those three are where I got my start. Also, I see what you did there.

I only know those by Weird Al, like 'It's All About The Pentiums' and 'White and Nerdy' and i've gotta say I love them just because they're so witty. Though I wouldn't call myself a nerd, I just think they're really funny and catchy. I haven't heard any other 'nerdcore'

My rims never spin, to the contrary: you'll find that they're quite stationary! All of my action figures are cherry, steven hawkings in my library! My myspace page is all totally pimped out - got people beggin' for my top 8 spaces! Yo, I know pi to a thousand places. Ain't got no grills, but I still wear braces.

The only "nerdcore" I like, if he's even considered that, is a rapper named Busdriver. Although I have only heard a handful of songs from him.

I'm into gangsta rap, so listening to most nerdcore rap gives me a headache, kinda the same way 80's pop does.

I like it alright. Some of its not too great, but alot of it is.

In particular I enjoy:

MC Lars
mc chris
YT Kracker
MC Frontalot
K. Flay

Also Del The Funky Homosapien isn't a nerdcore rapper. He's just a really, really amazing rapper who can spit about basically anything and everything.

I have MC Frontalot, MC Hawking, MC Lars, and Optimus Rhyme on my iPod, MC Chris is very good. I noticed how they all seem to be in each other's songs. Like in Roomate from Hell, Bitchslap, A Song about Ping Pong, and I believe Internet relationships. Nerdcore is my favorite sub-genre and about the only thing I ever play now.

I agree. He co-wrote a lot of material for his cousin, Ice Cube. I'd say that's pretty versitile for the type of rap he usually does.
