So, the entire programs that try to teach teens abstinency, rather than using protection are pojntless then?

If you're expecting that class alone to influence or change a teen's behavior, yes, from that perspective it is pointless.

You are saying we should somehow make them WANT to suppress their urges. You accomplish this how?

By teaching them a system of values and morals that are more important than what the child wants.
Sort of like how we teach children to control their violent urges, because violence is very rarely ever acceptable.
If these urges are uncontrollable, then that should mean that the child has a serious problem.
