New Assassin's Creed III Trailer Shows Off Multiplayer Modes

Assassin's Creed III's new cooperative and team modes are on display in the latest trailer.

With October 30 quickly approaching, Ubisoft is counting down the days until Assassin's Creed III's release with another new trailer. The video shows off Assassin's Creed III's multiplayer modes, giving a glimpse of classic Deathmatch, team-based Domination, and the cooperative Wolf Pack.

With maps ranging from the Boston harbor to the "blood-stained cotton" of a Virginia plantation, Assassin's Creed III boasts 16 multiplayer characters, 14 abilities, and 10 perks, some of which are on display in this trailer. The new cooperative Wolf Pack mode, in which players must work together to find and kill foes before time runs out, is also featured, as is Domination, in which teams work together to capture and defend territories throughout the map.

The addition of co-op play to Assassin's Creed's multiplayer experience is a big one for the series, and the other modes look fairly robust as well. Assassinate your friends or fight alongside them when Assassin's Creed III launches later this month.

Same here. Guess that's what we get for not living in North America.
Luckily there are more channels with that trailer on youtube:

Unfortunately I can't be sure if it is the same or not, but it sounds legit.

Edit: Judging by the picture of NA trailer and content of the one I posted, they differ. Oh well.

Now I am really excited about the multiplayer. The only thing that would make it almost perfect would be if they got rid of Templar vision. Here's to hoping.
Also, the coop mode sounds interesting, but it more sounds like a time trial of how many can you and your friend stab before time runs out, rather than some cool plan out your attacks thing.

I'm slightly annoyed that there's co-op and no split screen. Also, is there anywhere online that details which retailers get which day one preorder DLC and if they will be made available for purchase?

-_- i to this day believe that the multiplayer in AC is one of the most inovative things done in gaming. The way they make rules and gameplay work so well and so fun made me love the series even more.

BUT WOW i am dissapointed at that trailer. Not a single thing in it sounded like a new mechanic. From perks to abilities to the assassinations shown. All of it was Revelations just under a different name or character model. The game modes didn't even sound new, they sound so familiar to the last game that at first i wasn't even sure they were not in it. Essentially time race with the checkpoints being a kill then race to next kill. And capture the point. . .why AC3? T.T Why does every bit of news we keep getting make me want to play you less?

To answer that question I would say its because Ubisoft is squandering the AC series and its potential to ensure that they can continue the series for another 10 years. I personally have no doubt in my mind that AC3's ending wont be a true ending to a supposed trilogy that got magically extended for convenience.

I understand many people enjoy the multi-player and I dabbled with it a bit in Brotherhood but I have noticed a decline in quality in the AC games since multi-player was added.

I am hoping that AC3 proves me wrong and ends up providing a great story and consistent gameplay as AC2 was in my opinion, but all signs point to that being a no. One reason is kinda a funny one to me.

In the past when AC2 was about to be released they had assassin creed developer clips that talked about the gameplay improvements and how in depth the story was. However, with AC3 majority of the videos from developers are about the multiplayer, dlc, and historical accuracy.

"Enemies must be killed AND eliminated." Oh my, now we're really talking business here.

Multiplayer never excites me in the slightest unless my boyfriend's getting the game too and we can play together. Luckily this will be the case with Assassin's Creed III, but it doesn't look like it will be that much fun or that we'll play it any more than we've played anything together. Nevertheless, I'd say it's a welcome addition to the game for me, especially since I don't own Brotherhood or Revelations. Hopefully it will be "a bit more novel" than what else is out there, as the trailer says.

Captcha: Better half. D'aaaaw, you got that right.
