I've got the Big Green Dub of Tree of Might on DVD, still need to watch it.

Though Cooler's Tree of Might would be a pretty cool name.

I stopped watching the Dragon Ball series not long after GT started so even if they did start a new series I probably wouldn't watch any of it.

Speaking of plotholes, does anyone else think it was weird that as soon as Bulma and Vegeta started knocking boots everyone somehow just forgot that he should have been on trial in front of some sort of galactic council for the numerous war crimes and genocides he committed?

OT: Why can't we just leave a good thing alone? Dragon Ball and DBZ are classics and we don't need their memory sullied by modern animation's love for dodgy CGI.

I was literally angry when I saw Goten turn super while playing with his mother.... I mean, if it was so easy for him, then why didn't Goku turn super when he was hit by a car and then shot by Bulma in the first episode of DragonBall?

The explanation given was that every generation of saiyan passes on part of its power to the next. Hence why Gohan and Trunks were so powerful. It's a way to keep increasing their power endlessly.

An easier explanation is that Toriyama wanted to be done, so he added dumb stuff to chase people away so he could move on with his life.

Still doesn't explain why it took future trunks like 20 years and the death of his best friend and mentor, while for past trunks just felt like transforming. Vegeta would have been the same power when he conceived both of them : \

Emperor Pilaf, the incredibly prudish gag "villain" who didn't know what he'd do after he took over the world, is apparently evil now? And what about his henchmen, Shuu and Mai, who seem to follow his farfetched plans more out of loyalty than any kind of faith that they'll work?

Pretty sure Emperor pilaf murdered people(It may have been off screen but that doesn't change that he apparently did it). So I think that does elevate him from 'gag villain' to 'evil gag villain'. He also did stuff like unleashed king piccolo on the world.

Also, Vegetto's name seems to allude to who he takes after. (Goku never called himself kakarot[kakarotto], only vegeta did. Infact, he outright denied it when the saiyans came along, when he was all like 'screw you guys, i'm not kakarot, my name is Goku and you're all dicks. I challenge you to fisticuffs!'. So I think that's where 'gogeta takes after goku, vegetto takes after vegeta' came from).

Well, kid trunks was apparently training with vegeta in the gravity room, at stuff like 150 times gravity. and I guess maybe they were just more emotional? i mean in future trunk's time everyone died while he was still a baby, so he didn't get to know any of them and maybe cause of the androids learned to man up. while present trunks grew up comfortably and uh... might be more of a sissy making the emotional trigger easier? XD

the real answer is 'cause toriyama', but in-universe the above is about the best you'll get unless someone can think of a better explanation. Gravity training is pretty intense I guess.

Why would you want that?
You need to realize that good things need to end in order to be remembered as good. Until recently I thought DB was quite jolly until I saw GT. The stakes have already been risen to "destroy the planet" and "destroy several planets" so why take it any further.

almost no sequel has the same impact as the original and this pretty much applies to any media.
If you REALLY REALLY need more DB, cry youself to sleep with the movies, the videogames, the manga, the abridged manga, the anime, the abridged anime, the merchandise and the ridiculously huge fanbase.

Just watch the Abridged Series DBZ by Team Four Star. It's the same content as the show, but far, far more hilarious.

You never know, they might end up doing a 'Kai' version of the original Dragon Ball. It's the 30th anniversary in a couple of years isn't it?

I think if they had did the right thing after Cell Saga and shifted to Gohan as the main protagonist they would have been able to push the story more, but as of now it needs to be left since the horse was dead after Z and was beat senseless in GT.

A prequel series about the youth of Muten Roshi ( I think Master Roshi is his english name? I dunno, i'm German)
Think about it. It could be hilarious, we could have Piccolo Sr. as an overbearing threat but still have him fight a lot of new Enemys because they don't have to be Insanely strong. You could have a supporting cast out of Tiens Master, ChiChi's father, Gokus grandpa, Uranai Baba and alot more.

Although it doesn't sound very "kids-friendly" I would probably watch a couple of episodes about "The Worlds Greatest Assets! - Goku and the Balls"..

I think they can pull it off if they went the Dragonball route and didn't overpower characters beyond belief. Add some real hand to hand combat to it and make slinging energy attacks more of a last resort, high cost action. I'd also go with a cast of new characters with various personalities that don't all revolve around being incredibly optimistic or self absorbed this time.

After this long, I doubt it's going to happen, that might be for the best.

It was say easy for Goten to become a Super Saiyan because by the time he was conceived Goku was a Super Saiyan himself, and a very powerful one at that, so a portion of his power was already inside Goten at birth, and obviously just continued to grow as he grew himself, culminating in the point where he could easily transform into a Super Saiyan as a small child, which would explain how Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan all had to try really hard to reach that peak wheras Goten and Trunks could do it off the bat.

Honestly, the only reason I would like to see it revived is so that they can make Goku so ridiculously powerful that we could finally have something canonical to shove in the faces of those VS board Superman fan. That's hardly a good enough reason to revive a series.

I really lost interest in the series when after Cell I bet EVERYONE was expecting that the show will focus on Gohan, but it stayed on Goku. As much as I love Goku... come on. Especially in the Buu, when they introduced Goten? I was like, NOW it will focus on Gohan-sensei Goten-student.

Nope. Goku.

Buu was so annoying btw.
