I don't think it will ever happen, because Free Radical is going under after Haze tanked and Lucas Arts shut down Battlefront 3. I'm pissed!
Yep it's a shame that one of the most loved franchises is ending.

I am ashamed to say, I tried playing Blood Money, and I sucked at it, really I was Awful. That kind of put me off the series...
If you were awful at that game then you should never play the original.

Oh and yay... a new Hitman game Im soooo mildly excited.

Awesome, I love the Hitman series, i own all of them. I just wish they would work on the disguise part of it. How awesome would it be if you could set up a disguise before the level starts, just the way you select your weapons and gear. Make it more cloak and dagger like I say.

Blood Money and Contracts rocked. Unless Eidos suddenly becomes really crappy, I'm going to definitely look forward to this game. Here's hoping they combine the dark film noir atmosphere of Contracts with the killer gameplay of Blood Money.

Plus, I've been wanting Yahtzee to review a Hitman game for a while now, what with his assertions of the Thief series being the ONLY good stealth series (I'm guessing he just doesn't count the Hitman games because they give you the freedom to play however you like without punishing you too much for it.)

But yeah, the prospect of a new Hitman game is about the only release I've genuinely been looking forward to.

Awesome, I loved Blood Money, and I hope they make some tweaks with the AI and graphics for this. Beyond that, keep the wide variety of environments and execution styles intact!
Personally, I want to see them add some human characteristics to the AI. Give them a measure of curiosity, but also give them a more rigid set of standards. For example, in Curtains Down, if you carry out the real WWII Pistol while dressed as the executioner, and you take the shot, the guards turn on you. If the real executioner takes the same shot, nobody cares. I would like to see home fair justice - I should be able to plant the weapons and the clothes I used to kill one target in anothers room, and alert the cops. I also want to see them questioning why people are moving around here- Why has the Devil come down to hell, he told us he'd be in Heaven all night?

I'd also like to see multiplayer added, but strictly within the normal gameplay
Actually, the Devil DOES go down to the Hell floor if you wait around long enough. Man, I've wasted so many hours in Blood Money just messing around and following people, heh. Most of the time a costume will only give you access to the places that person could access, although there is ALWAYS a "best" costume for a level.

I think it'd be neat if the AI was about as smart as the SC: Chaos Theory AI.

I've always found the AI in the Hitman games to be quite broken in places. It's especially frustrating when guards can see through walls to notice you changing costume. Must be the X-ray specs disguise.

I really liked the Hitman series, never played the first one though, but a new one in the works makes me happy, I love the way you can plan things in the level so you can get to the exit point without alerting anyone at all, if your good enough you can go throughout an entire level without killing anyone besides the target.

Man, for all my love of Splinter Cell, I can't believe I've never played Hitman or Thief. I really need to play them.

Toasters: no longer just for toast. Also a handy tool to assasinate people with!

At least, if you're trying to make it look like a suicide. At least, that's the only reason I can think of that 47 would do it that way.

I actually think that the toaster tub thing would arouse suspiscion today: it's a rather old-school method of suicide that nowadays you only see in old reruns of detective shows.

Ah well. There'll doubtless be all sorts of killing methods.

FINALLY! This really made my day, oh hell yes this is awesome! I've played through all of Contract's and Blood Money's missions at least 7 times each. Blood Money was pure, genuine brilliance in videogame form, by far one of my top 10 favorite games on my PS2.

Like a separate co-op campaign of sorts that truly takes advantage of two different assassins stalking one or more targets.
That would be pretty sweet, they could have co-op where you help each other to make the kill, and a Versus co-op where you have to compete for the same contract.

Add on money for each contract you complete, buyable equipment and a ranking system and you have a good time-wasting multiplayer added on to the single player.

"Your ability to blend is now pitted against human intelligence as well."

The AI would have to be ridiculously good then, because otherwise it'd either force you into slooowly moving along the obvious rails. Co-op is probably far more realistic.

Good news everyone! I think I've had every Hitman a one time or another, though I couldn't get the original working for some reason, I still owned the bugger.
Looking forward to it, it's practically impossible to make a bad Hitman game.

There was a magazine article a couple of months back about how they are making the guard AI unpredictable. That will fuck me up, I've gotten used to observing their movements to the point where I know at any given time which guard is overlooking a certain ledge or taking his fourteenth piss in twenty minutes.

god bless the guys with bladder infections and addictions to nicotine.

Haha, damn; I thought they've been working on this game since Blood Money was released. Oh well, better late than never.

I've always liked the Hitman series for the room for creativity and freedom it gave to the players. It's a really unique experience, made more so by the fact that you don't see many social stealth games out there.

The only place I'm willing to suggest improvement is to the AI, although it's to be expected the rest of the game will be brought up to date as well. The Euphoria engine would work well for this sort of game...
