New Map Pack Coming for Batman: Arkham Asylum

Good news for people who love beating the crap out of inmates at the world's most notoriously sieve-like insane asylum: Eidos is lining up yet another free map pack for Batman: Arkham Asylum [http://www.batmanarkhamasylum.com/].

The new pack, Prey in the Darkness, comes with two Challenge Mode maps: The first, "Heart of Darkness," takes place in the Arkham Pumping Station, while the second, "Hothouse Prey," is set in the Abandoned Glasshouse section of the Botanical Gardens.

In fact, according to Xbox Live [http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/more-free-batman-dlc-tomorrow]. Looks like the PlayStation crowd gets hosed again.

Batman: Arkham Asylum is a huge hit, with gamers and critics alike raving about its Game of the Year potential, but I can't help but hope for something even better: Something like, say, Hitman: Arkham Asylum. Not the Agent 47 Hitman we all know and love, though; I'm talking about Tommy Monaghan, a Gotham City button-man who was hired to break in to Arkham and kill the Joker [http://dc.wikia.com/wiki/Hitman_Vol_1_2]. He failed, of course, but much hilarity ensued! Monaghan is also possibly the only character in comic book history to barf on Batman's shoes after being punched in the stomach too hard.

Wow that's one of the fastest map packs I've ever seen, the game was only released a few weeks ago.

I do hate being perpetually shunted to the side though because I bought a PS3 but oh well c'est la vie

We still have the Joker.

(Double post, my bad but it seemed worth it.)

I just got this game a few days ago, and the challenge maps are much more fun than I expected. Go Eidos!

I know but still, why can't everyone who bought the game be treated to all of the great new add-ons? But that's an entirely different discussion altogether.

Also I love your avatar and it is the sole reason that I've been on wiki for the last ten minutes looking up Beetlejuice stuff

Rocksteady Studios clearly knows what its doing. They release an amazing game and to bolster excitement they offer free DLC two weeks in a row. Now that they've gained our trust I expect priced DLC that's even better.

PC please?

Although I do love how they are adding so many DLCs as a "thank you" for all the people who bought the game. I liked the first one, yet to play the second.

I'm close to trading in Batman about now, still gotta give these new levels a go first...

I'd love a go at the Joker stuff, looks fun.

Finally, someone actually noticed the TF2/Burnout module of free DLC causing more people to buy the game. Everybody wins.

That's pretty cool but it's not like the current 'challanges' is it where it's beat up these guys as fast as you can kind of stuff cuz those are fun and all but they aren't exactly a thrill a minute either. Guess free is free though. Wait, us Ps3 folk are getting hosed again? I might be wrong but did 360 get the joker challanges too?

I can't remember.

I imagine it was more a mistake that the 360 got it a day early than anything.

Since there is no way that any company wouldn't brag about this sort of thing.
