I love mas effect 2, but I will never buy any of the dlc. I mean seriously, They make the whole deal about Cerberus network and free dlc, and then its all either useless or the good stuff is paid dlc, Its a scam. I me- Wait its about the shadow broker? WHERE IS MA BAG O MONAY!?

Cant wait, now back too bashing fake deals.
What's a scam? That some stuff is free but the stuff you pay for is better?

Don't sound like no scam to me.

I love how you think that a company who is out to make money is greedy. You know, they did just spend 100 MILLION dollars to produce a game called starcraft 2.
And they are releasing it in three different boxes, with staggered releases over the next year or so. Which will undoubtedly cost a fortune, and which all fans are going to fork over their money for regardless. This was not necessary, but it makes more money, so why the hell not?

I have no problems with a company making profit. Money really does make the world go 'round. But Blizzard is a glutton. WoW has filled their coffers to the point where blowing 100 million on Starcraft 2 isn't really a big deal. Their wallets are still fit to bursting.

What ever happened to a good old fashioned expansion pack? Seriously, I can't stand DLC.
I hear ya. I'm tired of buying incomplete games just to have four or five DLCs put up that was just content they didn't feel like keeping in the game. This DLC and AC2 are great examples of this nickle and diming.

Wow, I'm getting the feeling I'm the only one who liked "Overlord" and "Stolen Memories"...

Anyway, I shall be getting this. I kinda wish they would just release a full blown expansion, but I'll take DLC, too.
I loved them both. I think its a case of "haters gonna hate"

Companies dont arbitrarily keep content out of the games. I would rather them get out the game, then work on cutting floor stuff. Im a big fan of knowing the full story, and quite frankly I love how Mass Effect 2 has done its DLC.

the release plan for starcraft 2 makes sense, multiplayer will be released in full with the first game. the other two will be full blown stand alone games with long solo campaigns. Gives them the best opportunity to develop the story to it's fullest potential, instead of cutting parts and selling it as DLC later.

I enjoyed both, but am also well aware they felt nonessential and not worth the money for the amount of contribution.

Damn, I have to pay extra cash to finally find out who the Shadow Broker is???

Goddamn it.

It's the Geth anyway.
How does that make sense? It's confirmed in Mass Effect 2 that the Shadow Broker tried to sell Shepard to the Collectors. The Shadow Broker being a Geth doesn't make any sense in that regard.
I saw Geth in the screenshots and made a lazy guess!

I enjoyed them, but I don't blame the people for not liking DLC's. Even I get a bitter feeling after spending $5 for a hour's worth of gameplay no matter how exciting or well done it may have been.

Halo 3: ODST is an example of Bungie being too greedy and essentially charging full price for a DLC. Halo 3 ODST
Disagreed.

The main selling point of the disk was the full Halo 3 multiplayer for new buyers of the console who would roll round in the following months gearing up for Christmas.

The fact it had a small campaign and horde mode were just small incentives to purchase it over the recently redundant Halo 3 base disk. Only hardcore Halo fans or completionists purchased both.

Or idiots who didn't research the game at all then complained.
At the time of buying, I already owned all previous map packs along with my original H3 disk. From my point of view, ODST was a new campaign with a bonus of 3 new multiplayer maps. Maybe I didn't research enough about it, but from bungie's front page, it looked to be a full game. In my view it was not worth fourty of my pounds.

Goddamn it! Are they going to make this tie into ME3? They are aren't they! Gah!

Now I have to play this stupid DLC to get any extra background Shadow Broker stuff in ME3, I just know it.

Bioware!!! *shakes fist*
...You know you will you enjoy it.

No girl, no cry.
*wipes away tears of frustration*

Yeah, you are probably right. I hope so anyway, since I have no choice in the matter. They had me at "Shadow Broker."

I don't really believe in DLC, it always feels to me like developers leave things out of a game just so they can charge people for it later via DLC... But this... This actually sounds totally worth buying. Especially for Liara, some of you seem to not like her, but I love that nerdy blue chick. Soo innocent...

Dear Bioware...

Fire your DLC team. Your core games are solid, but FIRE YOUR DLC TEAM.
They're mostly the same guys. They just don't try as hard/don't pull in the same resources, since all they have to do is cash in on an already successful product. To be fair, this is probably the fault of the executives.

I'm looking forward to it. I like the addition of Kasumi. The Overlord DLC felt a bit dull. But more story and squadmates are always good.

All the free ME2 ones

And don't even get me started on the massive shitfest that was Firewalker.
Unhappy with the free Mass Effect 2 dlc? You can't just say "fire your DLC team" because you don't like what you get. From your list you haven't even played Overlord. To say "fire them" is absurd.

There are no Geth in the new screen shots.

This is cool and all because Liara is awesome...but the Shadow Broker is a very significant character who's story really can't be summed up in a DLC, maybe He'll escape at the end or something so they can continue his story in ME3 along with some backstory.
