New Rainbow Six game? :'(

I've been a lover of Rainbow Six for a long time. I feel like the game is what a shooter should be, it's not too fast paced, but it's not too slow to make gameplay boring.

I've been looking around on the internet and haven't heard any news of Ubisoft making a new one. Also, Rainbow is about a 3ish year old game and people still play it online, which makes me think that it has a strong fan base and is still popular.

Would you like to see a new Rainbow Six game?

Long time fan, but you seem to think the series began with Vegas? It's like the people who say they're a long time COD fan, and they're fourteen year olds who've only played the two shittest games (COD4 and MW2), United Offensive FTW!

The Ubisoft forums have been completely over-run by malcontents who hated Vegas because it wasn't Raven Shield, and I think the shear volume of flamewars there have discouraged the devs from making a new Rainbow game.

I thought Vegas 2 was alright, the online was a bit crap. I also hate that you died from jumping off the top of a train...

I've played one of the PS2 titles (the last game to have 'Ding' in it) and both Vegas games.
I enjoyed all of them, although I muched prefered Vegas 2 since I could unlock weapons *outside* of multiplayer. (Forgive me if I'm wrong, but IIRC, you could only unlock new weapons in Vegas1 in multiplayer)

I still play it, when I need a break. The terrorist hunt feature allows for some really good, short games. Easy to play a really quick game.
I'd love another Rainbow game (although I'd like to leave Vegas behind...)

Im a big Rainbow Six fan and I think a new addition is long overdue... I hope its still set in Vegas. Theres nothing quite like killing terrorists in a casino.

Sorry bout that, after rereading my own thread, it does indeed seem that way. No I have played many others in the series. But, Vegas was my first online game, so I only know online through Vegas. The first game I played was Raven Shield.

The things I love about Vegas was the sheer amount of character customization; anywhere from weapons to armor, you could make your player the way you liked. I LOVED that.
Honestly, that's why the Rainbow 6 series is in my opinion, better than MW2.

I personally liked it if they went back to the old Rainbow Six style of gameplay, like Raven Shield or Rogue Spear, only make it with better graphics. But that's just me...

I loved Rainbow 6 Vegas 2. The biggest Problem I had with it is that the single player levels were a bit boring. Make a new one with more interesting levels, and I'm sold.

I will never play another Vegas or Lockdown style Rainbow Six game. They are dumbed down and absolute crap compared to Rogue Spear or Raven Shield. If they go back to type of gameplay they had in those games I would definitely pick it up, but I somehow doubt they will, since the 14 year olds with ADD probably can't handle putting down waypoints or using go-codes.

YES! Come on Ubisoft, I want Rainbow six 3! I still play Rainbow six 2 because it is one of the few FPS that blends great story with awesome gameplay style. Also a great tactics addition, even though you don't even need to bother with that and just go guns a blazing it gives you the option to go stealth in missions.
