I know that the demos for BF3 ran on a single GTX580 which can definatley run the game at full settings. The HD6970 beats the GTX570 at some aspects and vice versa. I don't really think it's worth an extra $50 as the only real improvement will be performance at higher resolutions due to more vRAM than the GTX570 (2GB over 1.28GB). I wager that you will be able to to run BF3 at max settings on 1600x1200 very smoothly so the 570 is definately worth sticking with.Ph33nix said:My biggest concern is will the 570 run bf3 on max?
edit: also I'm looking to run stuff at 1080p will that make a difference between the 6970 and 570?
I'd say that the 570 is more than capable of doing that without going over $350.Recommended GPU for BF3: HD6850 or GTX460
Recommended vRAM for BF3: 1GB
EDIT: The GTX570 also takes a bit less power, for what it's worth.
