Twilight Princess was absolutely horrible, yes. The textures were worse than these ones, and that bloom was horrid, but the way to fix the bloom was not to make static lighting (Look at the torches in the first part and tell me they appear to be giving off any real time light).j-e-f-f-e-r-s said:I dunno. The textures at least look markedly improved over Twilight Princess, and they've toned down the excessive bloom lighting that made TP look like something out of an LSD trip. All in all, I think they've worked well with what the Wii can do. If they put too much emphasis on the graphics, then they start having to cut level space in order to ease the strain on the CPU/GPU. Considering that Nintendo seem to be focusing on giving Link lots of big wide spaces to run around in in SkySword, I think it's a fair trade off.
And who says PS2 games can't look pretty?
As I said, Gameplay over Graphics any day, but surely adding that bit better textures to things wouldn't have taken up that much more resources...
And yeah, after checking for the games I was thinking of, turns out I meant PS1/N64 for texture quality.
Still, I want this out on the DS. Don't notice texture problems as much due to the smaller screen, and I hate the Wii, so PLEASE NINTENDO BRING IT OUT ON THE DS. Or I could just wait for that Wii-U Zelda game I saw a trailer of. Those graphics looked GOOD by today's PC standards, and the control scheme won't be the same as the Wii - I hope, so I am looking very much forward to that!
