I would like to see the gameplay of Syndicate translated, not just the setting. Let's not have another Shadowrun.
That's what I was about to say! Man, I hope they can do it faithfully. Hell, all they really need to do is update the graphics, make destructable environments, new weapons, characters, all the graphic goodies, new missions - and it would be a DAMN awesome game!

they were fun games tho, the snes shadowrun game was pretty fun, could have been worse and could have been better
Unfortunately, that's not the Shadowrun I was referring to [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/editorials/op-ed/1065-There-is-no-Shadowrun-game-for-the-XBox-360]. If only the SNES game was the low point.

Never played the game, but from what i've seen any attempt to update it will only result in disaster- it's fan following is simply too... involved, with it.
What have you seen?
Mostly only the opinions of people on these forums, but older niche games tend to attract very vehement fanbases- 'Cult Classics' if you will, much like Popular games will have Fanboys.

And, I actually loved the SNES Shadowrun- played it before the Genesis one, feel like I PREFER the Genesis one. Never got very far in either.

We never got a good Shadowrun, but we got Deus Ex which was KINDA close... Here's a true story- at one point the rights for Shadowrun were purchased to make a movie, but this was right after Fantastic Four tanked, so none of the studios would touch it. The guy could never pitch it to a production house and eventually his rights to it just lapsed...

Dodged a bullet there, huh!?
