Oh dear god that looks horrifying, its even worse then I imagined it.

Poor turtles, they don't deserve this.

Looks at the 3rd live action film and the live action TV series, really you think this looks worse than those?

Whelp the trailer got removed (so awful that the uploaded removed it him/ herself?) causing me to seek it out-
Ok I admit it wasn't mostly bad per say (in my view), I mean sure it's still bad looking but it's as bad as generic action movie like GI Joe that is until the FUCKING dubstep track begain to played!!!! I rather waste my time on Transformers: Age of Extinction than to watched this.

What interesting was how Ralp didn't get caught in the trailer thus making him the lone character to saved his brothers. Lastly the voices are alright, what I can't get over is the very human lips and teeth they all got!

After watching the video, I've got some major nitpicks to voice. But lets get some of the good qualities out of the way (trust me, it won't take long).

First, nice to know that William Fichtner won't be playing Shredder. by my guesstimation, it looks like they're going with the horribly disfigured Shredder from the 2012-present animated series but with exo-suit armor. I saw the movie tie-in toys at Walmart and the Shredder is wearing exo-suit armor.

It still looks ugly and combersome IMO. It's like an 8-year old was in charge of the costume design after a steady diet of Pixie Stix, Mexico's version of Coca-Cola, and 90's Image comics. BTW, in one scene, did Shredder's blades return to him after being fired or was that part played in reverse?

And while we're on the subject of nitpicks...

My biggest one is Megan Fox. Dear Christ, that woman has the looks of a porn star but the acting range of rotting driftwood. Makes me wish they went with Whoopie Goldberg are April O'Neil. She may not be a spring chicken these days but at least she has some acting chops.

Second biggest grip is the voice acting for the turtles. Can anyone tell me which voice belonged to which turtle in that trailer? I know you could tell if the camera was on them, but, aside from Mikey, the rest of trailer made it difficult to tell.

Also, the turtles still look fugly as 3 day old road kill. All that money and not one of them could have made a call to a practical effects shop? I know they want to distance themselves from the previous movie entries, but there is some serious uncanny valley going on with their CGI faces.

Then there are other complaints like the Foot Clan being replaced by extras from the Call of Duty series, the frantic Transformers-like action bits, and the possibility that Splinter may be killed off in this movie (judging from the trailers but I could be off on that).

Overall, the only thing that got me excited was the Skrillex track used in the trailer (I mentioned that in a previous post) and that was it. That's not a good sign for this movie. A summer movie trailer should get you pumped up for the upcoming movie and this didn't do it for me. I'm gonna wait until the reviews come in for this one before I decide to see this in theaters or not. But its starting to feel like Michael Bay has saturated another popular franchise with his douche-taint.

Interesting. Sad that they didn't use the best line from the theatrical trailer.

???: So what, they're Aliens?
April: No, that would be stupid.

I still think the Turtles themselves are overdesigned and unpleasant but from a story perspective I surprisingly don't hate this trailer.

Jeezus, this looks like someone picked up an abandoned script off the Transformers writers floor and said, "Yeah, I can work with this." Urgh.

What made me angry at this trailer was the stinger joke, "What are they, some kind of aliens?" To which, Megan Fox says, "No, that's stupid; they're *ninjas*."

I'm just, "NO, BAD MOVIE, you do not get to make jokes about the really stupid thing YOU LEGITIMATELY TRIED TO GET AWAY WITH."

Meh. Still doesn't look great, but my blood's not boiling. I still say that Donnie is carrying way too much gear on his back to fight effectively and move freely.

Why is it always Raphael who ends up saving the other turtles? He always seems to be the 'last hope' option. And did the trailer really need to show us that half way through the movie, Splinter gets wounded and the other three turtles get captured? That's kind of telling a good chunk of the movie right up front.

Always? Huh, I WISH. He always got the shitty end of the stick in the 2003 cartoon.

I'm surprised by how much I don't hate this. I certainly won't pay theater prices to see it, but I will check it out on TV someday. They did show far too much plot though.

I actually like elements of the turtle designs. Particularly, Donnie's glasses, but all the designs aren't completely awful. Also knowing that the blades are retractable improves my opinion of that costume a bit. Still don't love the movie, but this trailer left me with a if I get the chance I'll watch it sort of feeling.

Which makes me ask why were all of the other trailers till now so wretched.

The voices seem completely directionless, generic and empty, apart from Raphael, who sounds like he's going to be every bit the "Dudebro gangsta" that we all feared.

All in all I'm not overtly mad or distressed, but from the general trailer tone I'm not going to go see this movie.

Well, this *is* Michael Bay, the permanent mental 13-year-old.
On topic, the bait-and-switch thing where the white suddenly turns out not to be Shredder seems like one of those publicity stunts. Like, after the leaked original script got so much flak, they decided to make people think they were really going through with that, only to turn around and say otherwise a bit before the release so that we'd all feel sudden relief and maybe forgive its other obvious failings.
If that was the intent, it's certainly not working for me.

As long as Megan Fox is in it, it can't be very good. Every scene with her in the Transformers movies just sucked the life out of me and made me depressed with how awful they were.

I still have hopes that it is "bad good". When Shredder went from spikey to super sipkey I laughed real hard.

Cant watch the trailer as its been removed. But i have a feeling from the photos shown before that Shredder is going to be a guy in shredder power suit instead of a pissed of man wearing armour like in the comics/movie. More robot than man im thinking. But given i cant watch the trailer i may be 100% wrong. :)
