Niantic is Taking Requests for New PokeStops and Gyms in Pokemon Go

Submission form also allows the option of requesting the removal of a location from the game.

Niantic has added a submission form to its website [], which allows people to request the removal of a PokeStop or Gym in Pokemon Go - which should be a relief for The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and Arlington National Cemetery, both of which have issued pleas to players to avoid hunting for Pokemon on their sites. In addition to this option, players can now request the addition of new PokeStops and Gyms through the form. Few details are needed - the name and address of the area, the reason you're writing, and - optionally - the longitude and latitude of the location.

The most obvious beneficiaries of the ability to put in requests are businesses - who are already using Pokemon Go to bring in customers [], although Sponsored PokeStops are coming to the game in the future. Other than that, trainers in rural areas, where there may be no Stops or Gyms for miles, will be able to recommend areas closer to their homes.

In other Pokemon Go news - and holy cow, is there a lot of Pokemon-related porn searches [].

Sent in a request for a Panera Bread near my office and the nature trail in our office park. Here's hoping they add Stops there!

I sent in a request for a pokestop to be added to my bathtub. Since I regularly boil myself like a lobster for hours on end, having a place to lure and get more items conveniently located in my bathroom would be great. Also, I'm not shy so I won't mind people wandering in to catch stuff and have a chat.

I did it for a pub near me, when u leave my area to the main road, to the right there are a nice few stops, to the left (where the pub is) there is a gym and thats it, no stops at all until u get to the end of the main road (bout a mile/mile and a half)

Heres hoping more are added in the area
