Ninja Gaiden 3 announced

It has been announced at the Tokyo Game Show 2010 but we don't have much information yet. We should get more information about it sometimes next year. I really look forward to this and hope it will be good.

Best combat heavy action games out there, easily. I can't wait to find out more and see how things are going without Itagaki at the helm.

I find the 'ninja' about as 'ninjarish' as a space marine. What's so 'ninja' about running up into demons faces and hitting them? Ninjas stealth about the place and attack when least expected. You can obviously tell I don't like the games... Glad I only rented them.
Still, people like hack 'n slashes and it is a hack 'n slash. I won't tell them what to like and what not to like.

Well, they really are supposed to be though. Sure there were some cheap encounters but I often felt that when I died it was my fault for not playing well enough, so I always felt it was the right sort of difficulty.

This pretty much sums it up for me:

If they found a way to make it harder then I will applaude them and then kill them. Can't wait for it to come out.

It's hard as nails but can be extremely frustrating but the rush you get from progressing against the odds is so worth it.

To be fair, the series started as a NES platformer and a side scrolling Double Dragon-esque arcade brawler so they have never been about the stealthy type of ninja. It's more about the pissed off you screwed me over so I'm going to forget all about stealth and just kick your ass type of ninja.

Now, if the next Tenchu game was a NG clone even I, a fan of the NG games, would take major issue.

The Ninja meme started in the 80s, as ass kicking martial artists with super powers, so when people think Ninja they think that. If they want a real Ninja, assuming there is such a thing, the game would be Thief or Metal Gear Solid. I'm still waiting for a great Ninja stealth game though, but I don't begrudge the Ninja title in Ninja Gaiden.

I thought tenchu was pretty awesome for playstation and was the first "stealthy" game before mgs
