Nintendo and their sexy male characters

Okay, here me out, it's 6:34 a.m here right now as I write this thread, I haven't been able to sleep since three hours prior, I noticed a lack of a Nintendo thread on the front page, and my spinning hamster wheels mind was going out of control.

So here I am wanting to talk about what Nintendo characters do you guys find to be pretty damn attractive.
So what brought this topic about? Well for some reason the long dead debate over Zero Suit Samus and the sexualization of the Metroid character by Nintendo has made me, realize that Nintendo has honestly been making more and more attractive male characters to a female audience, and honestly...I'm okay with that because I'm fangirl trash if I'm gonna be honest with myself.
I noticed it all really started with our favorite green clad hero Link. I mean, look at what he used to look like when he first debuted, to what he looks like now

Original:

Modern:

Of course though the trend didn't really come onto my radar until Pokemon started doing it.(because that's the fandom I'm most involved with Nintendo wise anyway.) I couldn't tell you whether or not it was because of Sugimori's shifting art style, or if it's because Sugimori and his staff are secretly also into making attractive pretty boys, but Pokemon Black and White with the debut of this character:
as far as tumblr and deviantart was concerned every fangirl and their cat wanted to date this guy, and then years later they come out with this guy right here
with his french origins, and innocent cluelessness- now instead of every fangirl and their cat wanting to date him, all the ladies (especially tumblr, oh my god especially fucking tumblr) wanted this to bang this guy.

And with Pokemon's recent Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire games it seems that this is honestly just gonna be a thing now (not that I'm complaining.) after all, let's take a look at how they redesigned the Villanous team leaders Maxie and Archie (who needed it the most I mean damn he was bland.)

For comparison here is Maxie:

And Archie

Oh, and it would be shameful of me to ignore Wally's new pole dancing gym leader uniform

Of course the champions of really attractive male characters congregated in a single game has got to be the entirety of the recent Fire Emblem game. It's personally still holding up as my all time favorite hot dad romance sim JRPG of all time and I recently got another friend addicted to the game.

Anyway my personal favorite male character so far is Libra, Vaike, Chrom, Lon'Quo in Fire Emblem, and Archie and Steven Stone in Pokemon. Sometimes Link crosses my mind, but none of the others really stick out for me.

What about you guys. Which Nintendo character do you think has been sticking out on the hot-o-meter recently?

CAPTCHA: "warp speed"

You bet captcha, I'm warp speeding straight to fangirl hell.

Know what I find hilarious about this thread before it even begins?

'Sexy' is subjective, right? There's going to be things that certain people prefer that other people might despise. Personally I'm neutral to a lot of the things most people call 'sexy' (chain mail bikinis and battle-thongs) but I'm not gonna whip up into puritan "burn the titty-witch" rage over it. I'm a fan of more subtle things.

Back on topic, with that subjectivity of 'sexiness' in mind, you have to consider that there's someone out there with a major crush on Mario.

That being said if I had to pick a hottest Nintendo character well, after Brawl on the Wii Solid Snake technically counts.

I know sexy is subjective. I just wanted to make a fun and albeit goofy thread. There could be people that just aren't into any Nintendo characters at all since most of the recent design of the male ones tend to fall into the pretty boy "bishounen" category anyways. I wasn't trying to poke fun at anyone, I mean, here I am putting Sexy and fucking Nintendo in the same sentence and then making a thread about it.

As for Snake I think he has competition with Captain Falcon. From what I understand (or at least seen.) people like him for his buns, and for a character that hasn't had a game since the Gamecube era, whoever is in charge of modeling him for SSB has started to get heavily invested in fine tuning his physique.

isn't Shulk a Nintendo character? If he is then him.
there's also the modern Link, Fire Emblem Ike (specially his Super Smash version), Captain Falcon, and there's a bunch more
I think that rather than Nintendo having a thing for making guys hot it's more that they just like characters to look cool and because of this they end up being f-ing handsome :p

as far as Pokemon goes... I think it applies to the girls as well so it's not a matter of the guys getting hotter but the entire Pokemon world getting hotter/cuter

case in point

so yeah I think the Pokemon comment applies to everyone in that world

But falcon doesn't have that sexy "I just shoved a spinning buzzsaw down my throat. Ladies and gentlemen, please contain your orgasms" voice.

The Maxie and Archie comparisons made me laugh, particularly Maxie's "Torkoal-necked sweater".

As for Link, there was a little manga story in the Hyrule Historia, and here was Link when he first appeared;

Yeah the black and white female protagonist in Pokemon was a lot more in the mature ballpark in terms of design (probably because they were specifically stated to be older than the average start up trainer.) but for me most of the female designs in the later Pokemon games and subsequent remakes simply came off as teenagey or just cute, with the exception of Courtney and Shelly in the ORAS remakes.

But again that's just my subjective opinion on the matter.

While that may be true, Falcon more than makes up for it by being a prime example of a dude with a good butt on him (and as we'eve seen in SSB4 he packs an impressive package to boot. Seriously look this up)

I never did finish going through Hyrule Historia and now I need to read the manga to see what in the hell Link do to get himself in that sort of situation.

I think they're meant to be 15 for W/W and 16 for B2/W2. The one that looks younger is actually older :p but this was also because Unova is based on New York and I think they intentionally went with a more mature look for all the characters hence N being a 17 year old pretty boy.

I think Hyrule Warriors Lnk takes the cake in the whole handsome category second by Ike from super smash

I guess we're not furries :p

joking aside neither Fox or Wolf have a strong character so I guess that's why many wouldn't consider them much if at all/ I'm not saying they haven't accomplished a lot of cool feats or that they're bad characters just saying that when you compared them to Link and the way he interacts with the rest of the world there's a lot more character building in a mute than in talking bipedal animals

Never let it be said that Nintendo isn't one for equal opportunity fanservice. Seriously, we all remember the variety of boys from Fire Emblem, Awakening being where they really cranked it up.

The furry in me is leaning a lot more towards Leon and Panther.

I guess Wolf is okay, and Fox just comes off as generic space shooter guy. Nothing wrong with that, but it ain't really my thing.

Believe me dude, furries cannot get enough of fucking wolf. I'm serious. They may not be strong characters, but they excel in the design department, which is more than enough for them.

No man or women was left untouched in that game. Did you kill that crazy king? Did you secretly want to bang his brains out? Well no worries fans for if you kept your MU single he will be a romance option later down the story with literally zero reason as to why he retconned his own death.

this is japan where the age of consent is like what 14?
I mean have you seen some of their anime, say like Gurren Lagann or Kill La Kill? I think those girls are meant to be 14
not that it matters cultural difference have no value in the US since ours supersedes all others... but I would point to the fact that these are fictional characters in a fictional world so if it bothers you that's more on you being to self absorbed in reality and not being able to separate a fictional universe from a real one; but that's a whole other discussion

anyways back on topi, is Shulk a Nintendo character?

Yup! Shulk is an official Nintendo character through studio buyout by Nintendo. I really want to play the Xenoblade game so I can get some context to his swimsuit outfit ( and why it was popular enough to be an alt. skin in smash. )
