Mascot Legendary Pokemon are not Dragons 
Both of them are Wolf looking Pokemon with one of them wielding a sword in their mouth and the other having a shield like mane.

World is a lot more open world then usual. Makes catching Pokemon a more open ended experience. And no random encounters. You see the Pokemon roaming the land in their natural habitat.
Likes - free roaming Pokemon in the world (the best design choice from the Let's Go games makes it into a game I'll actually play), free camera, very nice graphics (compare the footage to the 3DS games), the legendaries look cool, as does the armoured raven.
Dislikes - free camera is only in the "Wild Area" instead of the whole game, and making your Pokemon Godzilla sized is the new in-battle gimmick to replace Mega-Evolution/Z-Moves. I'd have preferred Megas or Z-Moves to be expanded rather than simply abandoned in the very next generation.

They haven't removed the mechanic, but they changed the acquisition of Mega Stones from an event during the story in Gen VI (XY, ORAS) to a thing you can only start collecting after you've finished the game in Gen VII (SM, USUM). They don't straight up remove the mechanics, but they de-emphasise them a lot to make their new mechanic the interesting thing, like Z-Moves being all the rage in Gen VII.Samtemdo8 said:They removed Mega Evolutions? Looks good. I have no friends so I probably wont play any raids. But I'm excited to just have another normal pokemon adventure.
Pokemon, breath of the wild is looking solid. I especially liked Great Blue Wolf Sif. However, while the graphics keep evolving the pokemon cries still sound like weird sounds. I think they should mimic their anime sounds. I really liked when pikachu said 'pika' rather than 'rherh'. That should be expanded to all pokemon.
I like deemphasizing mega-evolutions since they were linear and lame, but giant pokemon are probably more linear and still kinda lame. If you want a gimmick like that, and I don't, I think the Z-moves were better.
Also, we can control the camera. I mean, neat, but they felt a little too proud of a feature that has been around for decades.

The game looks pretty great. The Legendaries have great designs and while I love both, I'm going to have to go with Zacian. An awesome good boy with a sword in its mouth. Dreadnaw and Corviknight are amazing, especially Corviknight. I'm surprised it's Flying/Steel but upon taking a closer look, it makes sense. I still expect it to learn a lot of Dark-type moves.
Dynamax looks dumb as hell. I get why they'd switch to it as opposed to giving more Mega-Evolutions, but it's kind of disappointing.
I really hope capture combos don't make a return. Let's Go is annoyingly designed to force me to play the game the way GameFreak thought I did (But obviously no one did if those failed capture events on the 3ds games are anything to go by.) I don't want to have to capture 15 rattata to get a chance at a rare pokemon. It takes time, space, and tests the fuck out of my incredibly limited patience.

I wonder if you can ever make a character who isn't a teenager. So you can play an hot widower who is looking to capture the sexiest pokemon possible and force them to listen to long stories about the various photo albums she has stored in the locked room with the murder floor.
Yeah not crazy about the addition of yet another gimmick that just feel restrictive and doesn't really feed into the core gameplay of the franchise. I doubt there's going to be any reason not to use it when available, so at that point why even put it in. Honestly if they really wanted it in they could at least have removed the previous mega evolution/z move and all that stuff, now I feel like it'll just be a game of "which gimmick am I supposed to use now?".
The environment looks absolutely beautiful. I wasn't sure if I'd buy it or not but I'm starting to think I will. :/
