I'm right behind you in the sign up line. Just imagine the opportunities!Jonny49 said:Power of the GameCube?! Sign me up!
They could just use some sort of memory card system. Like a SD or something similar with some kind of lock. A SDHC card can get as big as 32 GB and that would be enough to store games for the 360 and more on it. I've actually discussed that they should use some card thingy on new consoles rather than discs once before.Quadtrix said:I'm wondering if it will use disks, since a cartridge probably won't be enough to hold games that are Gamecube-level.
Hopefully they'll catch up with Apple and Sony and due away with physical media entirely. Throw a 30 GB HDD in there or something. Though, if they do stay with physical media, flash memory certainly has potential for a hella'lot more storage than disks at this point.Yopaz said:They could just use some sort of memory card system. I think they'll probably stay with the card idea especially since memory prices are so low, it's why they went with that format for the DS. Keeps games relatively inexpensive and also cards don't have as much battery drain as disc media. Given Nintendo's relative inexperience with digital distribution I'm not really sure I'd want them to get rid of physical media just yet.The Almighty Narf said:Hopefully they'll catch up with Apple and Sony and due away with physical media entirely. Yeah I totally remember having every single game forcing me to use the touchscreen, no wait that's not true at all. The touchscreen controls are not mandatory and I don't know why people keep pretending it is.Guitarmasterx7 said:If the games are going to continue to be "Super touchscreen: let's touch a screen" And "The legend of touchscreen: a touch to the screen" count me out. The touchscreen is a lame and unfun gimmick and has so many inherent flaws from a gaming perspective it makes me want to smack a *****.
Given that the DS is about 6 years old, and the average console tends to last about 5 years...FrancoDHorse said:Aww D:
Is it really necessary to come out with a new handheld? >_>
This is why I wait a year or two before I decide to buy a game console of any kind.Ben Legend said:Another one?
DS, DS Lite, DSi and the DS XL... now the DS2?
So many people must be pissed of that they buy the most recent version just to have the next version announced.
