Nintendo plan new Pokémon game - Likely a Gold/Silver remake

The gist: A major new pokemon game will be announced on May 10th on the Japanese show `Pokemon Sunday`. As the clues they offered were two large gold and silver balls hanging in the air, and with the recent rumors concerning Ninty remaking the games, it seems a pretty safe bet that they are remaking the Gold and Silver games first released in 2000.

What do people think? Will it be as succussful as the Red/Blue remakes? Is it trampling over nostalgia? Or just another Cashcow for the big N to flog?
Should they include / exclude certain features?

Or perhaps you have an alternate theory for what this new game will be?

Meh, There's a brilliant ROM hack which uses the Fire Red Engine to remake gold anyway. ShinyGold I think it's called. Go play till this comes out.

I've just gotten back into pokemon. I hadn't played since Red, and I got a new DS lite and I'm borrowing Pearl from my friend. I forgot what was so much fun about it. Luxrays are now my favorite

Althoug, I feel a little bit less awsome this time around. When I had red, no one had captured the legendaries at all. Now I go on gamefaqs and I find that everyone else has Palkia, Mesprit, Uxie, and Azelf as well. Though my friend doesn't and I just beat him on pokemon battle revolution today, so that put some wind back into my sail.

I'll probably get this when it comes out, hopefully they'll put more new pokemon in it, though I could see them running out of ideas by now.

It'd be pretty cool for there to be some sort of pokemon league for the pokemon league...though I'm not sure how they'd do that, given the levels of the ones in these games,lol.

Still, I would like to travel the world, and see the different regions.
