...Why? Halo's audience are losers. Alot of them SHOULD be Wii gamers though anyways. (Young children) But hey, if they want to lighten our load then fine.
Halo gamers are hardcore? Not really. Halo 3 attractes what I call "meathead gamers" who play Halo 3, Gears of War, and CoD 4 and thats it. Playing those games does not automatically file you under that, but if you think one of those games is the best game ever, then it does.
No need for the Halo flaming, there are plenty of Halo fans, like myself, who play other stuff as well (I myself have quite a diverse range of tastes in games, from Halo being a personal favourite to liking GTA, Project Gotham Racing, L4D, Fallout 3, Oblivion, Dawn of War, Crash Bandicoot, and so on...). Halo flaming isn't something I expected to see in a News Room thread. If you don't like it then fine, that's fair enough
provided you've played the games and know anything about them. Otherwise you're just jumping on the Hate Wagon, which is the one thing I hate more than serach button Nazis and trolls.
Anyway, on topic, as a Halo fan I can honestly say that I would never want to play it on the Wii. It just won't work. I'd be perfectly willing to get a Wii for the likes of Mario Kart, Wii Sports, anything of the puzzle and casual market games that actually look good. Maybe something like Resi. 5 and the Umbrella Chronicles too, and House of the Dead: Overkill. But Halo? It just won't work on the Wii. Besides, Microsoft own the rights to Halo, and they'd never let it happen...
EDIT: To answer the OP's question, why wouldn't Halo fans have a Wii? I play Halo and I'd love to get a Wii (damn student budget...). Plus, yes, Halo fans can be hardcore gamers, I know I am and I know several other hardcore gamers who also play Halo regularly. So yes, we are hardcore gamers.
