...Why? Halo's audience are losers. Alot of them SHOULD be Wii gamers though anyways. (Young children) But hey, if they want to lighten our load then fine.

Halo gamers are hardcore? Not really. Halo 3 attractes what I call "meathead gamers" who play Halo 3, Gears of War, and CoD 4 and thats it. Playing those games does not automatically file you under that, but if you think one of those games is the best game ever, then it does.

Eh? I just checked your games list and it's full of games like them.
I need to bold certain words sometimes I guess. Are those my ONLY games? My list of games is quite long, and has many games besides Gears and Halo. I also do not play them often, nor very recently. My taste in games is far beyond merely those few games.
You did call Halo's audience losers though. So, why do you consider Wii gamers to be young children, and why are "Halo gamers", like yourself, not "hardcore"? I didn't know being a meathead excluded you from being "hardcore".......Also how does having an opinion about a game make you a meathead?
The Wii is intended for non-gamers, and thus has alot less mature and possibly offensive titles. Though it may seem, I did not say Wii gamers are kids, but that alot of young kids are the kind of Halo fans I hate and should be playing Wii instead of hurting our ears with their constant rudeness. Also, a meathead gamer plays Halo 3 and Gears most of the time and do not play a wide number of games, nor appreciate them well enough. Playing Halo 3 does not make you one, playing ONLY Halo 3 does. And in what way did I say having an opinion about games makes you a meathead gamer? I prefer people to have an opinion, as I have mine, and it is obviously quite strong or otherwise we would not be talking so heatedly about this right now.

Well as for the opinion, "but if you think one of those games is the best game ever, then it does." I would also argue that the type of players a wii attracts, "non-gamers", as you seem to call them, (I would label them 'recreational', if I had to, which I wouldn't because alot of wii-owners have other consoles, for example me) are not "meathead gamers", which is why Nintendo are trying to win them over.

Owning a Wii does nto make you a 'non-gamer', but non-gamers prefer the Wii. Its rectangles and squares. Yes, Wii attracts non-gamers, but being a console, ofcourse real gamers will be getting it too, but most of us favor the PS3 or 360 or PC more since few Wii titles actually are fun to us. Have you really looked at the Wii shelf at your local gaming store? I did, once out of curiosity. I saw alot of fitniss videos and Mario Party wanna-bes.

Nintendo could win over the halo audience, But not with the Wii. Nintendo we're doing well without the hardcore crowd, It seems a strange marketing strategy to try to bedazzle the savvy gamer, the only person that can do that is peter molyneux.

Im doing my best to try to stay impartial, but i cant play the Wii at all. Shooters in the wii give me arm ache.

Gotta say. Why would you WANT the Halo audience? Seriously, have they met some of those people? Obvioulsy you get a mix of good and bad people, but the Halo audience aren't exactly renown as the most pleasant of gamer groups...
Because there are lots of them, and they all have wallets that nintendo want.

In all seriousness tho, If i hear from a reliable source (once a game has been released, I dont trust marketing) that there is a Halo beater for the Wii, i shall buy it for my Little brothers wii & play it there...then head to A&E with arm injuries.

I love the way that Reggie douche said "We can pick off casual gamers with Wii Fit and Brain AGe, and we can pick off hardcore gamers with Dead Space and The Conduit". Yeah. As if gamers are just birds at a target range and you need to find the right gun. *eyeroll*

Nintendo's problem is they're trying to capture a crowd which (essentially) likes Halo because of the great graphics and fantastic online play (amongst other things) with a console that has less graphical power than the original Xbox and possibly the most broken online system in the history of mankind. Seriously. My old Saturn and Dreamcast do online better than a Wii.

Also, they seem to have forgotten that today's gamers aren't really into the whole Nintendo plan of re-releasing the same old Zelda, Mario Kart, 3D Mario game over and over. If Nintendo decided to let its first and second party developers actually make a DIFFERENT GAME for once, perhaps it would appeal to more people.

They're welcome to them.

But it'll never work anyway. I can't see the players Halo and Animal Crossing getting along.
