Apparently Link will only be right handed in the Skyward Sword according to:

http://wii.nintendolife.com/news/2010/06/dont_expect_lefty_link_in_zelda_skyward_sword

Personally I really don't get why those fans would care I mean, Links a different person in each of his games (or atleast most of the time) so wouldn't it only be natural that his sword hand preference would change? ...people are weird

Also lefties are the devils minions

Well if you played the "wii version of twilight princess(which was awful)" everything was flipped including Link's body making him right handed because the majority of the world is right handed. But if you played the Gamecube version of Twilight Princess you have played the correct and best version of the game.

How dare you say that, I am left handed!

OT: Doesn't matter to me, rarely are characters in games left handed. Especially in RPGs, because you can never equip a main hand weapon for your left hand and it annoys me sometimes.

Considering that only about 0.1% of all Asians are lefties, and only about 10% Europeans... How the hell did Americans end up with over 20% ???

Does it really matter? Besides, the only people who would want to play as a lefty link in a motion controlled game are lefties. Perhaps Nintendo will put in an option to flip the world around a la TP port to gamecube for the lefties and the nerds.

Oh no! Something isn't CANON. Is it really that big of a deal? At the least they're widening the audience, which is entirely 'fair enough'...

hehe im pretty sure its an american dad quote, might not be word to word though.

also to whoever pointed it out i can kinda see why now if its just lefty-fans that are feeling annoyed that the only lefty hero changed his hand, i thought it would just be like the purist fanboys who if they had it their way mario would still be jumping barrels and climbing ladders

Can't find the source at the moment but another site said that his dominant hand can be set at the start of the game to left or right, making both parties happy.

We scared them devilish leftys out of our fine continent, yes sir!

However, I couldn't care much less about which hand Link uses for what, especially since I don't play Zelda due to the lack of a Wii or a decent gaming PC.

Y'know, I've honestly never noticed but, if it helps you feel good, I'm all for game characters being left handed...or, better, ambidextrous with the option of their sword hand being set in the character customization. There we go, problem solved. Oh, got a question for you: do they make modifications so it's easier for left-handed people to drive vehicles with manual transmission or do you just drive automatics? I ask because I haven't heard about many Semi-trucks with automatic transmissions...so, yeah...

If I liked the Wii, or Zelda.. or well, Nintendo, I'd be sort of upset. I didn't know Link was left-handed, although it is kind of cool, seeing as he's the only character ever to be left-handed in anything. The only other southpaw I can come up with, is Bambino, from My Name Is Trinity. Yes, that is literally how far I had to go from Zelda games, to find a left-handed guy.

Anyways, graphics smaphicks, not having left-handed controls is a bit of a bummer, and were I a potential customer, I'd want to try the game before buying it, just to see if I can manage right-handed controls.

Edit: Extra points for knowing who plays Bambino.

Double post, but lazyness wins.

Lefties drive the same ol' manual cars that humans do. I've never even been in an automatic car, as they're considered blasphemy in this country.

Ditto Furburt Reynolds, here.

P.S. I don't have a clue why I called you that.

P.P.S. Heh ^_^
Oh. I see what you did there.

On OT: That's... I don't even know. Does anybody actually care?
