No More "Mean Mickey" in Epic Mickey

Eh, I don't think it'll kill the game. It'll should still be a good game, though I wonder how they'll work around the issue of moral choices. Though if the test audiences think that the premise and the environment is too dark, well then you've got problems.

I agree that it would look better for Mickey to undergo a proper transformation instead of changing the colour of a few floating lights, but I don't see how this is going to have a major effect on the game. I'm okay with a few people saying that this has put them off, but when 80% of escapists view this as a deal breaker, I think they might have misunderstood the article.

There was a Biker in the focus group? Makes me wonder if the rest of the focus group consisted of a Mailman, Bee Farmer, Exterminator, and a Nun. It's not the people who'd I equate to knowing good game or story design.

That and Bikers just hate things.

I myself would have thought it a good idea, just seeing how being evil is supposed to feel negative. If you feel uncomfortable with Mickey's Evil look, you go Hero. You take away the repercussions of being evil and there's nothing left to overcome. Makes it less of an "Evil" option and more of a "Two endings equals Replayability." Option. Takes the appeal away.

That's why it's a deal breaker. I was promised evil, and when you say "Evil Mickey", he better be pretty goddamn evil looking, or else there isn't a point.

On a side note, a biker in the focus group? Have they never played L4D? Francis is the quintessential biker. Now, if Evil Mickey was wearing a vest...

Based on your comment I watched the first episode on you tube. That show was bad, it only narrowly gets beaten by Battlefield Earth as the worst thing I've ever watched.

So.. I hope I'm not the only one wondering why the devs are changing their game based on the response from a biker who said he would never play the game anyway.

I had a lot of excitement when the first concept art was released, but I am sadly going to be expecting nothing more than mediocrity from this one until I hear otherwise.
