North Korea Blasts US With 'We Are The World' Missiles

[youtube=HKWJSKYBDXE

You'll marvel at these special effects, courtesy of the North Korean propaganda department.

As cheerful pop blithers away in the background, a sleeping North Korean spaceman dreams of the day he can cruise over the planet, look down on the adoring world, and blow up the bits he doesn't like. Presumably North Korea intends to make a brighter day, but apparently love isn't all it needs.

The video comes courtesy of Uriminzokkiri ('Our Nation'), North Korea's propaganda website. Our Nation is part of North Korea's media blitz - it has Twitter and Facebook accounts too - launched in 2010 to improve North Korea's image. "Despite attempts by imperialists to isolate and crush us," reads one caption in the video, "never will anyone be able to stop the people marching towards a final victory."

This venture into dreamland comes as North Korea gears itself up for its latest nuclear test, and may have been intended as a response to the threat of sanctions that the UN security council intends to impose, should it go ahead with its plans. North Korea's rocket launches have met with mixed success in the past; Kwangmyŏngsŏng-3 splashed down in the Yellow Sea in April 2012, but Kwangmyŏngsŏng-3 Unit 2's December 2012 launch was a partial success, inasmuch as it did reach orbit [http://bigstory.ap.org/article/crippled-nkorean-probe-could-orbit-years?goback=.gde_3433693_member_197139555].

Honestly these people are turning into an amusing little side show, claiming that they're going to take over the world when they can't even launch one rocket without causing the poverty rate to sky rocket. I'm surprised the poor people that have to live under the rule of these idiots haven't rebelled yet.

I really wish NK would fire a missile at America, just so America can shoot it down and have free rein to kick NK ass. lol. Not even China could back up NK if they actually launched a missile.....China is already getting annoyed with NK. Its like the mouthy little brother that China has to keep making apologies and excuses for.

Move over Pixar, North Korea are the next big thing in CGI blockbusters.

If the nuclear holocaust has a cheery soundtrack and sparkles, maybe it won't be so bad after all? They'll have to work on Engrish subtitles though. If I'm burning in nuclear fire I'd at least like to be kept in the loop.

I had a really hard time understanding what the fuck was actually happening in that video to be honest. Some Korean guy had a wet dream about flying a rocket around and blowing up the US? Am I interpreting this correctly?

Honestly, can we just put those people out of their misery already?
Canada, Britian, Australia, New Zealand: you wouldn't mind looking the other way would you?
It's just one city.
"Just one city"? There's more to North Korea than a single city.

And I don't think any rational person would look the other way at the slaughtering of millions of innocents. North Korean's are not a hive mind.

You know, those falling shiny green stars look a LOT like the falling crosses from the big Third Impact sequence in The End of Evangelion. Way to go NK.

Propaganda?
To whom?
To north koreans? How much of them actually have PC and internet access?
If it's for uneducated and ignorant non-north-koreans, then please write things in language most of us understand!
English for example, or release multiple versions with different languages.
Because if it's only in korean, then these propaganda "specialists" fail at propaganda :/
To be honest I don't feel converted, seriously try harder, dammit!

Fun fact: The graphics are at least in part, if not entirely from Modern Warfare 3.

That's... exactly the point. All we'd need to do is take out Pyongyang.
All we would need to do is slaughter over three million human beings, I get what you're saying.

When a country can't even pull off realist special effects I kinda stop fearing them as credible threat to world safety, or at least I wound have if I hadn't realized years ago that that nation has been run by a series of phenomenal morons for the better part of at least the last half century.

But still I'm wondering to myself if they actually paid for the right to "We Are The World" or not, Knowing the region I'm guessing probably not.

I saw that, hilarious that they can't even take their own effects but they use a US developed game for their video.
