Norwegian Cruise Lines to Feature Wiis On Board Its Ships

If you're having trouble deciding which cruise line to book for your vacation this year, keep this in mind: Norwegian Cruise Lines announced today that it will be the first cruise line to feature Nintendo Wiis on board its ships.

Wii systems are currently on the Norwegian Pearl, one of NCL's newest ships, and all NCL America ships. The rest of the fleet is expected to be outfitted with Wiis by next month.

Colin Veitch, President and CEO of NCL, feels that the Wii's "active, engaging, and inviting game experiences" appeal to kids of all ages and is a natural fit for "freestyle cruising."

On each ship, Wii systems will be located in the atrium and other public rooms allowing guests to gather and play against one another while viewing games on large video screens. In addition, two Wii kiosks will be placed in each ship's "Kids Crew" facility and will feature kids-only fun. Ships will also host tournaments and other activities around the games.
