I imagine it will be like this.TStormer said:This is going to be awesome for the Yogcast.
The compass was already useless unless you put your base at spawn.Tdc2182 said:Alright.
Though it does kinda render the compass useless.
Day 112: The creeper I shot into space landed on me.Kalezian said:Day 13: found a wolf, was going to train it, creeper ruined it.Captain Pancake said:Player created books eh? I could make a minecraft diary.
Day 7: Built a wall. Creepers blew it up. Damn creepers...
Day 42: Finally have my vengeance, created a creeper powered creeper cannon, in unrelated news, first creeper was shot into space today.
OT: WOOO! now I can finally actually explore around the minecraft world without fear of getting lost!
or, having to save and quit to open and update minecraft cartographer.
Or craft a few small maps out of paper and call it a day. If you want to explore it can be a pain to build land marks every few hundred meters. Sure there are already plenty of solutions to many of the problems we have. Keep falling while building sky scrapers? Be more careful. Or now you can hold shift to not fall off (most of the time). Hell, i used to use a bucket of water like a rope, swimming in it while building up high. Sure it's a challenging technique, but you have a lifeline if you fall.Mackinator said:Just build gigantic landmark towers with signs on them to tell you where you are! Those always work and you can see them from 100 square blocks anywhere!!

"Being able to place maps on walls WOULD be cool.. but.. hmmm.. maybe, I'll try to solve it.timeadept said:Can you mount the maps on the wall and sue them as decoration? because i really want to be able to do that, it's make scene, if you do a lot of exploring then you could build map stations and whenever you come to one it'd be easier to just walk in and look at the wall rather than dig around in a chest.
How often do you build stuff close to spawn?ThatDaveDude1 said:This? [http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Compass]Mahorfeus said:Let's see how this turns out. Once 1.6 comes out, maybe I can finally find my way back home... -_-
maybe, but i get the feeling it is really expensive like some redstone surrounded by paper which means you will need 24 reeds. Thats 3 bookshelvesTdc2182 said:Alright.

We're all thinking it...That Guy Who Phails said:The middle one looks like a dick.
.....This gets my approval.
lol use a compass. and if your house or other things arent visible from your original spawn, build an above ground bridge, or mine cart track.Jonci said:Definitely would be useful if you can use them to view your current location while lost somewhere underground or building tunnels for a set area, but can't keep your barings topside.
