Now You Can Have the Deluxe Cones of Dunshire In Your Living Room

[kickstarter=152274765/the-cones-of-dunshire]
Mayfair Games has started the crowdfunding campaign for the deluxe edition of Cones of Dunshire; I call Ledgerman.

What started out as a joke about Cones of Dunshire [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/tag/view/parks%20and%20recreation]. Mayfair Games has just started its Kickstarter campaign for the deluxe edition of the game, which was shown off at Gen Con 2014.

However, this edition has a high price tag and may only fall into the range of "Treat Yo Self" purchases. Only pledges of $500 or more include a copy of the deluxe game, which includes the new characters developed specifically for the Gen Con 2014 charity event. [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/135759-Play-The-Cones-of-Dunshire-at-Gen-Con-Charity-Event] The special, giant carpet that was used as a sized-up game board is available as well, but there's only one, and it's only included in the $3,500 pledge.

In the past Bob Carty, Mayfair vice president of sales and marketing, has said there will also be a regular edition of the game [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/137385-Parks-and-Recreations-Cones-of-Dunshire-Game-Will-Become-A-Reality]. At the time he said the company was considering crowdfunding a deluxe edition of the game - that's where we're at now. If you don't have the funds to throw on a silly, convoluted tabletop game, you can wait for the regular edition of the game. However, there are still pledges you can make toward the deluxe edition even if you don't want to buy the game. Posters, pins, shirts, the Ledgerman hat, and more are just a few things you can add to an order.

The Kickstarter campaign's goal is $300,000 and ends in one month on Mar. 15.

Where is our full size cones of dunshire? I'd damn well expect it for $500.

The game in the video is the regular edition, as they state IN the video. According to the Kickstarter page, the Deluxe edition you would be paying for will be 33"x44", with 50 cones 7" tall, and one 14" cone.

I know nothing of the show, so those numbers may still be small, but that's absolutely massive for a board game.

FIVE HUNDRED AMERICAN DOLLARS?
It's EIGHT HUNDRED AMERICAN DOLLARS!?! if you want the high quality metal components. Still less than trying to start playing Warhammer 40k from scratch.

My house and car were less than the cost of starting from scratch in 40K.

While I can see this Cones of Dunshire thing being a fun idea to try and bring into the real world, and as much as I enjoy Parks & Rec, I just can't see this being worth the insane expense. Though I'm sure someone will still buy into it. But for my meager salary, it's crazy to even think about it.

So they're going to get sued as soon Parks and Rec notice this right?
