Oblivion star signs. What is best for a Redguard?

Orc = strength/endurance with defensive skills buff,
Nord = same thing with a better innate skill and more offensive skills to start with
Lizard = speed (good for thief or bow), same with lion without the disease resistances
High elf for caster, dark elf can be caster too (int/will), the other elf-type is also speed/bow type.
Check a FAQ about classes. They give good suggestions.

Nords and Orcs are heavies
High elves and bretons are magic(bretons are better in my opinion)
Kajiit and Bosmers are theives and bosmers are more archery
Argonians and Dark elves can do whatever pretty well Imperials are crap, but they dont have a specific thing
Redguards are the best in my opinion- like a light swordsman

Argonians are thiefs/warriors. If male. Mages if female.
Bretons are good battlemages if male. Pure mages if female.
High Elfs are good pure mages.
Wood Elfs are archers. AND JUST ARCHERS.
Khajiit are thieves, with a slight leaning to combat for males.
Dark Elfs do it all, but nothing particularly well.
Imperials just suck. Don't use them.
Nords are warriors, with a defensive focus, due to Woad and Resist Frost.
Orcs. WARRIORS. ALWAYS. Female orcs have higher MP for more healing. Recommended!

Redguards make excellent warriors and if you run into a really tough enemy you can go super on them for 60 seconds a day.

EDIT: Off-topic, but I was on Oblivion as I posted this. I killed someone in stealth with a bow who was stood right in front of some other guy, the guy didn't care, sat down and proceeded to eat. I snook up behind him to stab him in the back just as he says "must've been the wind". DEM SUM STRONG WINDS YO.

Altmer (a.k.a. High Elves)- Low defense, high spell craft
Argonian- immune to disease, 100% water breathing constant, balanced offense and defense
Bosmer (a.k.a. Wood Elves)- low defense, good at ranged weaponry
Breton- Casters, all right defense, option of physical offense
Dunmer (a.k.a. Dark Elves)- Good at everything, great at nothing
Imperial- FOR THE EMPERA, physical offense with high speech craft
Khajiit- Da sneaky kitties
Nord- My personal favorite, good physical offense, good defense, and a race spell that does 50 damage
Orc (a.k.a. Orsimer, Pariah Folk, or Corrupted Elves)- FOR DA HOARD, good physical offense, good defense, really not liked by any other races than Orcs
Redguard- Like an Imperial but with less emphasis on speech craft
