I am a casual artist who has recently returned to an Internet that has forgotten me. Here! I've even drawn some pictures! [http://potluckbrigand.deviantart.com/]
I'm passably good at it, but never wanted to make a career out of it or anything (my ego would never allow that anyway), so my favorite thing to do used to be to hit up an oekaki board and chill with other casual artists (and good ones that were there to show off), shoot the shit, draw some pictures, whatever.
But now that I have made my uh... triumphant? Sure. Triumphant return to the Internet, I find myself with nowhere to go... and Google hasn't availed me much in this regard, so my question (finally) is:
Do these still exist? Are there populated ones where people still hang out? The only one I have is iScribble, which serves its purpose I suppose, but is populated almost exclusively by 14-year-olds. I'm not hating on them, they just aren't really my crowd, you know? Is that just an uncomfortable truth about oekakis? Will I have to hang out with people a decade my junior if I want to do some casual group drawing?
If anyone has any good ones, I'd love to try them out. I'm even willing to pay a little bit of money if they require membership or premium fees. Whatever they want... I just want to draw without any pressure.
Thank you in advance, Internet Friends.
