Wondering if any of my fellow escapees have ever had one of the those moments where someone will describe or explain something or ask a question about something- and then you'll respond or add on saying, "no its more like-_____" Only to realize that what you just 'corrected' them with etc... actually means the exact same thing as what they were describing/explaining.

A (bad) example:

X: "oh I see, so they're parallel?"
Y: "no theyre just moving along equal distance from eachother and never converge to cross eachother"

Almost always due to a lack of a word being in someone's personal vocabulary. I still think it can be funny sometimes. In some way. But I know a lot of people that are really annoyed by it.

Who talks like that? Really? I would probably extrapolate my own interpretaion pertinant to the matter by annoucning my ire to the individual in question.

Ot: Yes it happens sometimes, probably because the person isn't really listening to you and just wants their chance to talk and not to actually listen to what you have to say. Just because a person adds their voice to a conversation doesn't really mean they are contributing to it.

I said it was a bad example! haha. more of a joke really.

But I hear what youre saying about people not always contributing to something. That is the only time that it really gets aggravating- when its at work or something about need someone to understand something

I don't think I have, but its probably happened to me in the past, though I've blocked it out of embarrassment.
