I was originally going to call this "Vague description of a character from a cartoon that I know nothing about"

When I was younger, my brother had a cartoon on VHS, he loved it, but can't remember the name of it. He's turning 30 this year and I was going to try and get it for his birthday. One small problem, all I remember about it is a pyramid in Egypt (I assume it is Egypt) and an egyption woman, I think called Isis. Long black hair, a headband that went across her forehead, she wore a white dress and I remember her sort of flying in the air in font og the sun and using some power. This would have been made in either the 80s or early 90s. She was part of some crime fighting or world saving team.

If anyone has any idea what this is, I would really appreciate anything to go on from here

Sadly I've got no idea. Although the egyptian part made me think about Yugioh and throw up a little...

Have you got any other information? Like, was it western animation or anime, or anime, a single cartoon movie or a series, and so on. If you know any of that, it might be infinitely easier to search for it. Just pick some kind of database that's likely to have a lot of cartoons, for example, wikipedia, and search for cartoons in whatever time period.

Good luck...

That list may or may not end up being helpful, [link]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_animated_television_series#1980[/link]

Also, apparently Isis, assuming that's her name, aside from obviously being an egyptian god, could be one of the three or more superheroes... So maybe it was some kind of generic superhero show? Like, something lame like superfriends =p

The Mummy: The Animated Series is an animated television series produced by Universal Animation Studios to capitalize on the success of The Mummy.

It premiered on Kids' WB! On the The WB network on September 29, 2001.
Yeah, probably not the one the guy was watching in the lat 80's ;-)

It was drawn in typical 80s cartoon style along the lines of realistic looking people like the old spiderman or he man. NOT Anime. On the VHS there was a trailer of the MR.T cartoon. that is all I can remember.

Sorry it isn't that one, it was definitely made before 1996. Thanks for your help though

Found it. Check out these pages on Wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hero_High
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isis_(DC_Comics)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Kid_Super_Power_Hour_with_Shazam!

Basically, in 1981-82, there was a syndicated cartoon show called 'The Kid Super Power Hour with Shazam!'. It was based on a bunch of DC comics characters who no-one ever really cared about save comic book nerds, and one of the segments was called 'Hero High'. In that, there was a character called Isis who fits your description. It makes sense that your brother could have had a VHS of this when he was a kid in the late Eighties/early Nineties, so the timeframe fits. Just check the picture on the Wikipedia page and you should be able to tell if it's right or not.

That is, it's either that or 'Freedom Force', which also had that character as a starring character...

I found something on a show called the secrets of Isis that was later turned into a cartoon. Character looks similar to your description. Is this it?
