Trying to remember a computer game. Possibly around the mid-late 90s. May have been educational. It had the look of one of those ClueFinders game, but it's not one of those. You start off as this young girl in your family's house and they're all very eccentric and weird and smart. You have to go around the house gathering up the family members. I think the grandma is in the attic or something like that. And there's a scene with an uncle living in the doghouse in the garden? I think. And there's crazy pets in the house too. That's all I can remember.

Need help remembering 2 computer games from the mid 90s.

The first was a 2 player game, where both players control their character using either the key pad or letters on the opposite side of the keyboard. The object was to defeat the other player by shooting their character with guns. After each round, you could buy more weapons. I thought the name was "Battle Dogs," but I can't seem to find anything...

The second game was also from the mid-late 90s. It was an adventure game where you controlled a wizard or something. You had magic, but I forget exactly how you used it. You start in a forest and go to a town shortly after. I distinctly remember a puzzle inside a house in the town where you had to carefully walk to the other side of the room with monsters blocking your way. After the town, you continued to another forest, where you would fight a boss.

Not the best descriptions, but please let me know if you remember!

Okay, there was a game, I want to say late 90's it was kind of Halloween themed. like the main character had a pumpkin head? or you collected pumpkins? I think I remember pumpkins with vines for bodies that chased you? the graphics were great for that time. I think you walked around grave yards and maybe a town, but it was all at night. I really played this like everyday. I cannot believe I don't remember more. I think I had a sega at the time. hope you guys can help.

Hi. I've been looking for the name of this game in the Playstation 1 games list on Wikipedia, but couldn't find it. I hope someone will recognize this game from my pretty vague description. This is what I know:

I know there were several levels, one of which was on a submarine (or maybe a ship?). The viewpoint was from slightly above, maybe isometrical, can't remember for sure. You had to fight people (not aliens or anything like that) and at some point there was kind of like a boss fight where you fought a very fat chef in a large kitchen. The most fun feature of this game (and the main reason I want to somehow play this game again) was that you could pick up objects from the ground, like the leg of a broken chair or a bat, etc. which you used to fight with. I know that in order to defeat the fat chef, you had to throw fridges at him or something like that.

And now for the most important aspect of the game: I know I played this game with a friend (co-op mode) and at the end of the game I had to fight him. Whoever won the fight, actually won the game. Unfortunatelly, I can't remember the plot and why you had to fight your partner at the end.

I hope I'm right when I say this was a Playstation 1 game as I'm not sure of that either. Thanks!
Check out Dynamite Cop for the Dreamcast.

There was an arcade game I played more than any other when I was a teenager. I've been trying to track it down in recent years but I just have no clue what it's called. Luckily I can still recall the game with vivid clarity, however. It was a classic side scrolling, beat-em-up game very much like Golden Axe or those D&D arcade games and the whole game revolved around climbing this epic tower from floor to floor. You'd start outside and battle your way up and I'm pretty sure you could choose different routes. There were different characters you could play as and you could rescue other characters along the way that would fight by your side in pretty much the same way those floating orbs from Gradius would fight by your side. But they all had different classes like rogues or mages. You also got points for picking up treasure and rescuing townsfolk. The game appeared in the arcade at my local mall sometime in the 90's and it was just my favorite thing ever. If anyone can help me track this game down I will be eternally grateful.
Totally Magic Sword. Great arcade game.
Thanks. You seem to have all the answers :)

I remember playing this old FPS game. I remember that the background of the menu screen was a big horizontal knife, and the curser was also a knife. You could select different weapons, guns and explosives before the game started. And the first level you started on a big green field with coconut trees on. You could shoot the coconut trees. And as far as i recall you needed to kill the enemies in a nearby village, which was in a valley straight forward.

Hi I'm looking for a game I played back in the 90's on PC. I believe it was a puzzle/mystery type game. The game was about a group of astronauts going on a mission to mars. The game starts out with all the astronauts sitting at a table being interviewed by media people.. Then you go to mars and I remember the ground gives out on one of the crew members and he falls into a pit and dies. Once you go down into the pit you find alien like ruins. I know you find this giant pill shaped thing that is green that then brings the dead guy back to life, but he isn't the same.

That's all I can really remember but its bugged me for years that I can't remember the name of it. Any input on the title would be great!

That sounds exactly like The Dig, except Mars is not a part of the game.

Hi, if anyone can help me find out what this is I'd really appreciate it! The game was probably from the late 90's or early 2000s. A 2D platforming game where the player creates an obstacle course and then observes a man character who walks through them. If the man gets trapped between two obstacles, he will walk back and forth between them for a couple of seconds and then fall asleep. The graphics and layout look very similar to this screenshot: http://blogs.theage.com.au/screenplay/Impossible%20Mission2.jpg

However I am fairly sure the game was NOT Impossible Mission, because in IM the player controls the man, but in the game I remember the man moved through the obstacle course by himself. Also I know that it was definitely a PC game, not a console game. Thanks in advance for any help!!

Hello, everyone... I registered to the forum specifically to post here on this thread. There's a PC game that I've been thinking of from time to time, and would like to know what it was... I was young when I played it (24 now), and I didn't play much of it because it creeped me out. I would say that it was maybe released in the 90's?

All I remember from it was that there were two black dogs... or dark colored dogs (I want to say Dobermans) with white or glowing eyes outside of what looked like a church? A very small church. The dogs wouldn't attack you, but they would bark and follow you around as if they would. Also there was something about a lampshade made of human flesh, and a throw rug made out of a human... I have no idea if you were someone trying to find a serial killer, or something entirely unrelated. Whether it was third person or first person, I honestly can't recall.

I can't for the life of me remember what it was called, or anything else about the game. Just the dogs with glowing eyes, the human skin lamp shade and the human rug. I tried Google searches multiple times, but nothing even remotely close to what I'm thinking of comes up.

Awesome thread,

I have been searching for game I played as a kid and usually only have one or two scenes to work with.

I already found Blake Stone : Aliens of Gold.I only had the demo ,but great fun none the less.

However, there are two games I am dying to find.

First game was a 2D platformer. I remember a scandily clad woman running around Jurassic Park-like setting, killing dinosaurs with her SCEPTER ,from which she shoots fireballs. It is possible that there was no scepter and she shot fireballs through her arms.
I remember that the first boss was a huge dinosaur that you had to jump up and down a tree, while shooting him.

The second game almost feels like a dream to me.It was a first person shooter.
As you start the game, you are in a hallway with open ceiling (like a labyrinth) and you have to fight a creature that looked like a bull.
After defeating it,you moved forward to find a healing potion.I believe you had a scepter again.
The game had huge open spaces. On the second level, you could enter portals to move through the arenas.
I remember big skeletons shooting at me (enemies were not in hordes, rather they were scarce and spreaded out).

What was remarkable about the second game is that on the second level with the skeletons and portals, you always seemed to have a mist around you and couldn't see more than 5 feet ahead of you.

This is all I remember. It was all more than 8 years ago.You will fill a significant portion of my childhood blank spots,if you help me find these games.

Thank you! :)

============
What generation were these games? The ones I'm thinking of were old, old DOS games.
"Jill of the Jungle" and "The Catacomb Abyss".
============

Ok, The Catacomb Abyss is very close,I think I have played that game too.The labyrinth game I am thinking about has better graphics and no bottom rpg-like panel. It was an rpg though, because I remember having potions.
The graphic style of that game was dark and spooky. The levels differed totally. It wasn't just a labyrinth till the end.I am sorry I can't remember more. :(

Jill of the Jungle is conceptually the same as the game I am thinking about. But again, think better graphics and more ACTION.The 2d platformer with the chick shooting fireballs was vicious, the sound effects were loud and the girl was more detailed, tits were big!It was like a action-packed porn.

Thank you for the effort!

Hey guys. I have two really a really game that I remember playing around the early to mid 80's that I don't know their names. The first is a classic fighter game, the first one I ever played, it was a sit down arcade game IIRC where the screen was parallel with the floor.

Anyway, I found a picture of two of the characters from that game and put the picture in my public folder here: https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=d2279b6a0445117f&id=D2279B6A0445117F!19570&sff=1 It's the bottom most left and bottom most right characters; the bald guy with white pants and the girl in pink with the baton.

Thanks in advance for your help guys!

EDIT: Nevermind, I found it! Yie Ar Kung-Fu! Woohoo! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yie_Ar_Kung-Fu

It was a 2d top down shooter were you could control a helicopter or a tank (I'm not sure if you got to choose or if it depended on the mission). It's not "Return Fire" but it shares a lot of common elements with that game. Any ideas?
I came here to look for this and didn't find the answer... But after vigorous searching I found it! It was Seek and Destroy.
