So I've been perusing the old homestarrunner site and it just got me thinking about all the other old websites I use to prowl around on growing up. One of my favourites was cokemusic.com, gosh it was so much fun.

Anyone else have any old favourites?

www.insidetheweb.com

My first internet forum crica 1996. Anyone could make a message board, and people were spread out all over the place. Getting lots of people together to post on a particular board was kind of a sign of status. The domain is just a stub/ad page now.

I liked 3DO's website. It had really cool strategy guides and tips and information I have not been able to find out anywhere else on the Internet (I mean, those exact guides, the information itself is scattered through other materials). When the company went under, I still didn't have stable Internet connection, so by the time I realised I had to fire up the ol' modem and go salvage whatever I can from there, it was gone. Such a shame.

I don't think I have anything else "old" I enjoy. There is GameFAQs which is the oldest website I've consistently been a member of and visited over the years. It was one of the websites I visited every time when giving the 56k a spin.

I was introduced to flash through this site. Been at least five years since I last visited! Christ!

Back in High school we used to go to ton of flash games website and also this fun quiz website called Quizilla. The Quiz were funny and fun until some idiots out there dicided to use that site as a place to submit crappy fanfic and poem. These days the website accepted those two and are part of the website.

NINJA'D! I clicked this thread just to say Homestar. I miss those guys so much. It's been over a year since they last updated with a new cartoon...

I used to visit Animal Crossing Community a lot back in the day. Was the first forum I frequented.

Also did a lot of sprite drawing when I was younger so I'd hang around those sites a lot.

Cheat Code Central
Oh man, I remember that place. The other day I found my folder of cheats- I used to print out pages and pages of codes because it was more convenient than dialling up to the internet every time I wanted to check some codes.

Oh yes the flash sites, I remember a lot of those musical video flash sites, like comeddy.com and fungo (or something) I also remember Quizilla in it's prime, I loved the quizzes but now it's just a mess

Around 2000, Newgrounds had begun to reach it's prime, I never go there anymore because it's so behind the times.

Chead Code Central was a haven for me in the 90s, was the most reliable and expansive cheat database I had ever seen. I don't visit it anymore mainly because video games don't have cheat codes these days.

I also remember when Yahoo was the number one browser that everybody used lol.
Oh god yes, cheat code websites. I had this one I use to go on called Cheatplanet (I think) but then I switched over to gamewinners.com

I use to print off pages and pages of cheats and what was really funny was months after I'd find those same pages under my couch and moist as anything (smelly too)
