I watched G4 since back when it was called Tech TV and it was really for nerds and yet I followed it to the present. The only shows I watch really are AOTS and Xplay. I know that most of the Tech TV fans hate what it's become but I knew the hardcore nerd shows wouldn't last.

Anyway, when Olivia Munn started co-hosting AOTS, I thought she was in over her head and seemed generally creeped out. Later (after getting into the groove of absurdity they got going on there) she became one of the funniest chicks on TV.

What I've seen of her new show doesn't seem very impressive but the reviews are half decent.
Will you be checking it out?

And for anyone who wants to challenge the notion that she is one of the funniest chicks on TV, watch these two clips:

I have seen her on TV before so I know the clips in question and I also see her on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart (as of late) but I remain, as always, underwhelmed.

I never quite understood her appeal but if I did have a TV and noting else was on I would indeed stop to watch her show. You know, to see what all the hoohah was about.

As an interesting aside though I always wondered why when girls get involved in nerd/geek related events or show even the remotest interest in gaming related stuff all the guys react like those people are either the bee's knees or subject them to harsher critique than if they were of male gender?

I saw this tonight. I was annoyed.

I used to be able to watch community, The Office, and Parks and Rec all in order. Now there's an annoying show shoved in there breaking up the greatness.

In all fairness, it wasn't that bad. But the NBc[footnote]I really need to get my c key fixed...[/footnote] Thursday lineup is comedy gold, so it's just bad in comparison. community has been stellar every god damn episode this season.

I haven't seen this new show she is in, but I did like her recent work on the Daily Show as a correspondent.

One example:

Oh yeah...Abed Community all the way! Though it isn't fair to compare Perfect Couples to Community..which I guess was your point anyway. Still I'll wait to see if the former makes a modern warfare episode.

The same thing happens to guys that show an interest in hair & clothes. They are treated like an oddity and yet are expected to know more.

My wife is pretty nerdy and she gets stares too. When she went to buy Blops, the clerk who helped her actually called other clerks over to look at her... it might be because of the giant goiter though, just kidding.

I thought Community was pretty crappy when it first started (and I'm a huge Chevy Chase fan) but it's improved a lot, especially this season.
Hopefully Perfect Couples will improve too. The pilot had it's moments but was pretty lackluster overall. I dig the editing, reminds me of Malcom in the Middle without the monologue. I feard that it was going to remind me a lot of Friends which I was never a big fan of. This one looks like it will have less sad piano music.
