Throughout the duration of the Summer/Winter Olympics the Athletes village is full of people doing as the greeks did. One Thousand condoms are used, alcohol is drunk, love is made and I suddenly have a massive to take up handball. Anyone else think Tiger Woods is looking forward to Rio?

Hundreds of men and women at their physical and sexual peak.

I've be surprised if the village weren't a huge orgy.

Not only that but the vast majority have done nothing but train their entire lives for this event. You think there's time for a boyfriend/girlfriend when you have such a huge commitment?

Their event is done and they're stuck in this village for the remainder of the Olympics (you don't get to leave once you're done). What the hell else they gonna do?

Exactly, they don't train in the Olympic Village and they can't pig out on pizza because they're Olympians.

Sex, all day, everyday.

*Shrugs*

What do you expect to happen when you take hundreds of examples of physical perfection, give them an amazingly nice place to stay in another nation and tell them that they can do whatever the hell they want as long as it doesn't intefere with their ability to perform?

I just think it's amazing that anyone could be shocked by this.

Even without the sex, that sounds like an amazing experience to have. All those ridiculously talented people in one place, from all over the world. Jesus, I'm depressed now.

Plus, sex is great exercise (144+ calories per half-hour according to Womansday.com)! These poor Olympians can't stop exercising!!!

With all the sex that goes on in the olympic village I'm just surprised that sex has not been made an olympic event yet.

Sex totes counts as cardio. I personally wouldn't mind being part of a Hamm sandwich.

They aren't whores. Whores get paid... wait.

The only appropriate reaction to learning about this is "yeah that makes sense" and maybe a little bit of "I wonder how many athletes come away from the Olympics with STDs... or children."

Other than a little surprising it kinda makes sense, anyway good for them?
I mean it's mostly young people and most of them are at the physical peak, what else do you expect them to do?

Wonder if they've got a marathon event...

More seriously, in retrospect I'm less surprised than I thought I'd be.

Not all that surprising, really. All those young athletes at peak physical fitness after many years of intense conditioning and training with little time for one's own personal life. They're expected to excel and win on behalf of their countries; they're under a lot of pressure. And then they're all put in the same environment for a huge and popular international event?

Good for them, I'm jealous.
