One does not simply become too old for PEZ

my 6 year old sister just had her birthday party(FYI i am 19), and as the party was ending, i noticed that not all of them will end, whats more, i noticed, that inside of those little candy bags, was a PEZ dispenser with candy.

having opened the package, i realized, that it has been ages, since i last owned a PEZ dispenser, i also realized, that the children inside us all never truly die.

So, Escapist, has anyone else had the same epiphany in adulthood?

Hah, I remember those things, had quite a few of them as a kid. Haven't seen one for at least a decade, though.

You know, this topic really disturbed me for a moment. It was because I thought I opened the "What's the acceptable age difference in a relationship?" one and you started off with the birthday party of your 6-year-old sister. Ugh.

OT: PEZ is good food. Good for the body, the soul and the mind. It must be consumed whatever the age is. Why do you think it's only for children? :p

Yeah they really are the things that time just can't kill and EVERYONE knows what a PEZ dispenser is and has most likely had one at some point in their lives..Its funny because mostly these sorts of things are just fads but what makes the PEZ live on the way it does? I mean its not like Coca Cola or something where a huge and constant marketing campaign has kept it at the front of everybodys minds, but I have never seen an ad for a PEZ dispenser.

Candy is traditionally a child's food since parents are always telling their kids not to eat too much of it.

Batman is on my desk right now! Although he is empty as I cannot seem to make a packet last more than a few minutes though... which is surprising as the sweets pretty much suck on their own!!!

I haven't had a PEZ dispenser in years, but I grab a few of the refill packs from time to time, just for snacking. PEZ is tasty.

I don't really eat that much candy at all anymore. Not because I don't like it (I do), not because it's not great for you (which it isn't), and not because I'm too old for it (psssh), but because I'm trying to take better care of my teeth.
