At 1 AM I sat down to play some Saints Row 2 with the intent of only playing for an hour, now I just finished and it was five hours. This seems to happen to me all the time whether I'm playing games, surfing the net or reading a book, I just lose a dramatic track of time.

So Escapists, how often does that happen to you?

I lost a whole day while playing ME2 for the first time.

The same thing will probably happen again with ME3.

A fair bit, usually chilling on my frequented sites (this, youtube, equestria online, equestria daily, facebook, gmail) and playing Borderlands. Those chew through time like anything.

All the time. I'll sit down to play a game at 20:00 and (if my cats don't disturb me) next thing I know it's 01:00... It was worse when I was a teenager though; of course that was due to depression, not gaming or interneting. Back then I could sit and stare into thin air, daydreaming for what felt like 10 minutes, and suddenly 2 hours were gone.

Happens to me all the time. Mostly when I should be sleeping, or doing something else equally important.

Well, one game or rather mod in particular I remember this happening with, was Minerva: Metastasis. I was completely hooked right from the start, played it all the way through and that was 5 or 6 hours very well-spent. It's a brilliant mod, no wonder Valve hired him after that.

The latest game I've done it with was Alpha Protocol, which I also just finished. I liked the game a lot, despite the flaws that might be in it. It's a cool setting, not one seen all that much in RPGs anyway and despite the bosses being kind of meh, the stealth, sneaking and the characters were great.
