Liking used game sales is liking Gamestop? That's a load of crap if I ever heard one.

People don't like Gamestop because they overcharge, thus they are not considered "saints", people would prefer fair used game prices, which you can often find on ebay.

Nonsensical argument is nonsensical.
Gamestop's record profits and massive expansion during this rough financial period is the reason "used games" are an issue. But no large, visible entities can say as much, as it would fall under "slander," something that is also against the law.

Sensical argument reinforced.

What are you responding to? The first paragraph where I talk about media being purposely ignorant to how products are sold or the second paragraph where I compare video game media to political media.
Actually the last sentence you said before i quoted you, to be more precise.

"presumably cover the bandwidth cost" I don't understand how a statement like that is possible. How can a one off payment pay off an infinite cost? If that's the case why has EA previously been forced to shut down multiplayer servers and get all the bad press for doing that?

Alrighty then, I'm boycotting EA. Who's with me?
You've got the right idea. If we want to really send these companies the message that we're not satisfied, we've got to hit them were it'll hurt the most, their bank accounts; and that means not buying their games! However a small select group of us isn't going to do the job, we need to do this in huge numbers here, we're talking thousands even tens of thousands. These companies know they can pull this kinda shit because they know that as much as we gripe and complain, we still buy their shit. The minute we start griping and complaining and not buying their shit, that's when they'll have to sit up and listen.

Just because Gamestop sells the most used games doesn't mean that if you are in favor of used game sales you like Gamestop.

With that logic, nobody who supported democracy could dislike America's foreign policy.

Only if the US were an actual democracy.
