Your concept of "news" is very much troubling considering that, in your logic, the continuing massacre in Syria isn't news because we all know that people are being killed and people are rebelling. Does that mean we should stop reporting on such items because they're "nothing new".

I can just see the tears welling up in the corner of those tortured eyes, the failing attempt to keep them at bay as the Capcom execs outside of the picture laugh and wave empty bottles all around.

I'm surprised. Usually Japanese developers are known for keeping quiet about bad conditions or cruel company policy, even after they've been seperated from the company for years. It's some societal thing about keeping friendly relations and respecting authority. Part of the reason we don't hear about this or that great developer getting laid off or transferred to do nothing but splash screens for cellphone games.
